Yes, the weekend is just around the corner. And it is a long one too! How does the Warrior Princess do with fireworks?

oh boy! that's right! it's 4th of July this weekend!
i always feel so bad for the dogs that don't like fireworks.
thankfully, our three do fine with them....as long as they are in the distance.
hope they don't freak josi out too bad

Yes, Josi hates the fireworks, but our town puts theirs on the week before the 4th so I had to deal with that 30min. commotion last saturday when brian was out of town. She pretty much cried and I just held her and turned up the tv. to try to drain out the sound. I am actually more concerned with the individual folks who will be setting off their own fireworks, but if she is doing as well as she is now...we will probably take her over to his parents house where they have more land so less chances of firework noise getting to her. Other than that, she is doing great and I can't wait for hump day to be over. Both Brian and I plan to work some on Friday unfortunately, but it is a day of reduced ops so we will both probably check out about 1 or so and head over to the inlaws. I am currently home for lunch with her boiling up some more chicken since she is inhaling it these days. She is taking a cat nap now that she got her belly full and I'm going to fix a sandwich and dreadfully head back to work shortly. I will post later once I get home and settled....Josi says woowoo to all her buddies:)

Woowoo's to Josi, too!!! lovicon Hope she will have a good 4th with NO loud noises to scare her, and she can have her chicken in peace ;)

Butler said to tell Miss Josi that he doesn't like fireworks, either. I've already started giving him the Rescue Remedy to mellow him out some. He really freaks out.

Glad to hear Miss Josi still has that bear of an appetite. Keeping fingers and paws crossed that the holiday will be fun for her.

Sable just ignores them as long as she is with us. If she thinks we aren't around she goes to our bedroom and lays between the bed and the closet door. We don't take her around them but there are plenty that go off in our neighborhood.
