Please send out your boxerworld prayers
Josi had a tough night and I think she is having a bleed this morning:( She woke up last night around 3 with a puffing/wheezing cough that she just couldn't get rid of for a few hours. Her breathing was definitely a little more labored, but her gums were still pink and it didn't appear to be causing her any discomfort. She did finally get a few peaceful hours of sleep and she got up and gobbled down her breakfast as she always does. When she laid back down her gums were as white as they were the last two times she experienced an internal bleed. They are currently going from white to light pink and I have her wrapped up in a blanket with a heating pad on low wrapped on top. The last time she had a bleed her body temperature dropped and that is what the vet did so I figured I should too. I am obviously home from work today monitoring her every breath, which while I wish it was under different circumstances...I wouldn't have it any other way. Due to the fact that the dr.'s can not do anything for her to stop the bleeds, we are going to keep her at home where she can rest comfortably and not be stressed. Obviously if her condition worsens or she shows signs of discomfort we will be off to the hospital where they would do an ultrasound to give us a better idea of if the bleed is coming from her heart or liver and if they think her body can recover from this one. I am praying this is a small one off her liver like the last time when she was able to rally back, I can't believe I am saying that. You all have stuck by us through this whole ordeal and have fought right along beside us...if you could please continue to send those prayers and vibes, Josi and I will be forever grateful. I promise I will keep you posted...
