Just heard from the surgeon...he said that Josi is still stable and recovering well, but she is having alot of heart arrythimia's which concerns him slightly due to her heart condition. He did say that with a splendocytmy (sp?) it is common for both a dog and a human to have arrythimias after this procedure even with a healthy heart, but he is awaiting the cardiologist to come and see her to determine if they will treat it or just continue to monitor. Her blood pressure continues to stay over 100 and although her red blood count is still only at 23% and it should be 45%, he said it will take weeks for that to rise. She was at only10% last night prior to surgery, so the transfusion has helped and he said there is no need for another one unless it falls below 20% which it shouldn't since they have stopped the bleeding. He said that due to the arrithymias that he will probably air on the side of caution and not release her tonight which I am ok with because I know she will be getting the best possible care. We will be going to visit her this evening and I promise to post when I get home although it may be late. Again thank you all such much for your continued support and I will be sure to read Josi everyone of your well wishes when we can hopefully finally bring her home

I am glad Josi is getting such great care. Hopefully, with a few more prayers and boxer vibes she will be home tomorrow. I hope your visit goes well. Mindy sends lots of extra kisses for Josi.

I have has computer problems so have not visited bw in a couple of days,so I have been catching up with the posts...bless your heart,so sorry your little one has been so sick,sending healing vibes,and will say a prayer for josi right now...

Josi is truly amazing!! I'm continuing to send lots of healing and positive thoughts out to her as she travels her road to recovery. You and all her family by her side, and the excellent care she is getting is such a blessing to her. Her BoxerWorld family is rooting for her, too!! Hugs.
