I am so sorry to hear that your news was bad and especially around Christmas. My first rescue, Gertie, after a month of having her I took her to the vet because she would fall over sometimes. Once they did x-rays they found tumors riddling her body, my poor old girl (she was 10). After only a month of being her forever mom, I was devastaed, so I can imagine what it must be like when you have your baby for 9 years. It took me about a day to stop crying, but then, for the next two months, Gert got everything and anything she wanted. These types of situations are so upsetting, but once you get over the initial shock, I am sure you will spend as much time as possibly doating on her. From your posts, it is evident how much you love your girl, I am praying so hard that you are able to keep her with you for as long as possible.

I'm so sorry to hear the news. But I know Josi will be loved to pieces and spoiled rotten every single day. Having just gone thru what I did with Austin I know all too well that fear of being without them. It totally sucks. ((hugs))

My heart just aches for you - your recent posts were bittersweet to read. I can only imagine what you are going through. Your strength and determination goes hand in paw with Josi, and I'm sure that you are drawing on a lot from each other. It is encouraging to know that there is a lot you can do for her, a lot you will do for her. And it sounds like you have some very good vet care and support available to both you and Josi. The healing vibes are streaming out to Josi, and you have all of us here to listen and give whatever we can to help you along. Writing is cathartic and I hope that you will continue to share whatever you want with us. We know how much you and your husband love Josi. We know from being blessed with our own beloved ones. Josi Josi Josi you poor dear sweet love. My heart is braking for you and your Mom. I am sorry I missed the posts about your current ordeal. I hear you handled it in true "Josi" fashion. How is the pain dear sweet one? God blessed you with a wonderfully special Mom but she too is hurting. If only there were a way to relieve her pain. The knowledge that we will some day loose such a sweet giving spirit is so painful it is hard for me to breath, and we have never even met.

Maybe your mom should write a book. Your life is a wonderful journey and would be heartwarming to other dog lovers. Tell Staci I feel strongly and my BIL is a publisher. Food for thought. I think it is wise not to look to far down the road right now but to enjoy each other. Give your mom tons of those boxer kisses she so loves.

Merry Christmas Staci. I was heartbroken to hear the ordeal you have been through, I pray God guides you all through this painful time and I am thankful Josi was able to enjoy Christmas with you. What a fighter.

Glad to hear that Josi is home where she belongs. I think she has already proven to be a fighter and why would she quit fighting anytime soon? She has a great family and an absolutely amazing mom. The news isn't what we were hoping for but I have the feeling Miss Josi will be up and around in no time. Take lots of picture and give and receive lots of kisses and keep your chin up.

well,I have had computer problems again,so just now,I have caught up with josi...I have thought about her these past 3 days,when I could not get on line..I am so sorry you recieved bad news regarding the biopsy...and my heart aches for all of you...she will remain in my prayers..she sure is a little fighter,and so is her mom...
