phobias

does anyone else have any phobias? i am deathly afraid of (dont laugh) cleaning products and pesticides plus i cant be around the color green. i dont even walk down the cleaning isle of stores or in nurseries i walk way around the sprays and containers of pesticides and bug killers. i have nothing but natural cleaners in my home but for somethings like oven cleaning i leave the house while my husband does it. hes a good sport about it. a friend made me laugh she said in a previous life i must have been poisened(sp) by someone wearing green.

I hate clowns!! They scare me to death!!!!!

Germs, germs, germs, germs...... I am a Germ freak! I can't stand going to the store and touching the shopping carts or doors... I have to disinfect my hands immediately after shopping or being in public (in general). And no offense to the moms and dads out there, but I avoid snotty nosed kids too. I won't touch them, or if I do, I have to disinfect again.... :( I know half the time that disinfectant stuff doesn't work, but it helps my peace of mind!!

But for weird phobias, I am terribly afraid of monkeys/gorillas/apes/chimps/baboons, you name it (anything monkey-ish). I always have been and probably always will be! They just petrify me, I don't know why. Seriously, if someone came to my door with a chimp or something, I would FREAK OUT! Logically, I know they are nice creatures, but NO WAY..... STAY BACK>!!! I can watch them on TV, but that's pushing it... I do NOT like them.... they are NOT cute!!

ok.... gotta calm down now.... I'm serious, I don't like monkeys..

I have a bug problem. It can be any bug, spider, ant, lady bug....any thing. I will run screaming in terror!

This fear does not come in handy since I work as a vet tech and animal come in with fleas and tick on them. There have been times when I have had to hastily leave the room!

Oh, worms and maggots. Cant do those either.

Oh, and to the poor dear who has a fear of cleaning products. That is my favorite isle in the grocery store! I love to clean, clean, clean! I am not giving you a hard time, that must be very difficult for you.

CLOWNS!! Creepy evil little things! Everyone thinks its funny how deathly afraid I am of them. During a Halloween Haunted Hayride, I didn't notice (I was looking in the other direction) there was a family of "killer clowns"..they charged the truck and jumped into it..i went right into an anxiety attack. Hubby now warns everyone although they think it might be funny to try and scare me..NOT to do it as he is the one who's got to deal with the aftermath...

I hate butterflies or moths...in fact anything insect like with wings!! They always seem to want to use me as target practice...EEEKKKK!! I am getting goosepimples just thinking about it...We have butterfly gardens in England where they breed all kinds of these monsters....some are really big....fancy paying to go into somewhere like that, just to have them crawl all over you.... :eek:YUK!!!!

Snakes...especially this time of the year because they have been hibernating all winter and they are now hungry and on the move. I refuse to go to the nature trail. I feel bad about it because my babies love to go. :(

Snakes!! It is so funny cause if I see one my legs start to move and I run. My family always makes fun of me. I don't care they can laugh all they want!! I hate the little buggers. I don't want to hurt them just to get away from them.

OMG you just gave me the biggest creeps! :eek:I hate spiders--any size, shape, color...you name it...black widow spiders are a bit common in our area and I have a very unnatural fear that every spider is a black widow! if I think about it too much I won't even let Gracie out in the yard b/c I am deathly afraid one will bite her! I have to leave the room if there is a spider and it must be killed--really killed..squished, mashed and flushed before I can come back in! no throwing it in the trash--it has to be flushed so I know for sure it is gone and can't come back!
