Oh no! I am so sorry :( I wish I could offer some helpful advice, but I can not. Could there be a reason they are failing? One that might possibly be reversable? I don't know...I will pray for you both.

If this is an acute episode (acute renal failure) like a pet might develop if ingesting something poisonous *sometimes* this condition can be treated and reversed.
If it is a chronic condition from age perhaps (or other various reasons) it can be "managed" with certain dietary, supplemental and medication changes/additions.
Don't give up hope yet. I had a cat diagnosed with chronic renal failure when she was 14. She was given UP TO 6 months to live. I am happy to say that she made it another FOUR years and saw her 18th b-day.
In the end it wasn't the kidneys that killed her but internal bleeding (ulcer) which was caused by the poorly functioning kidneys.
Don't wave any white flags just yet. There are many things that you can do to help this condition if it hasn't progressed to far just yet.
They will have "crashes" when it seems as if this is the end but they can also bounce back from those. Here's hoping that this is just a bump in the road and you have many more years together.
If you get a chance to do some research about kidney specific diets do it sooner rather than later. Years ago certain manufacturers developed prescription kidney diets which were lower in protein. A low protein diet can set off it's own set of issues including muscle wasting (the heart is a muscle and it can be weakened in the process). The new line of thinking is a diet of higher QUALITY protein verses a lower one.
I tried various prescription diets with my renal patient for about 8 months. She hated them but had loved food in any form her whole life. She lost nearly all of her muscle mass and ended up lame in her hind quarters due to the weakness. Once I decided that I would rather have her here for less time BUT feeling better and able to get around I switched food to healthier versions of protein (non prescription). This I feel really changed her life and gave her multiple years with me. The lameness corrected itself with a healthier food choice.

Thankyou all for the wonderful replies. Unfortunantly, Ozzy is dying. The vet called me today and told me that he has gotten worse since his last blood test, and that there was nothing they could do. His enzymes are way too high. They should be at 48, but they are at 110 and climbing. The dr. told me that in about a week or two, he will become very very ill, and that I would know when to come in and put him down, and that he was sorry that he had to tell me the bad news. He has already stopped eating, and he really isn't drinking water all that much either. He is so weak he can't even walk straight. I can't believe this is happening. My heart is broken. He's not just my dog, he is so much more than that. He's my baby boy. It just breaks my heart to watch him suffer like this. Dr. said he is not in any pain, he just feels like he has a bad case of the flu. I am trying to prepare myself for this, but it seems impossible. I am so sad. And my heart is shattered into a thousand pieces. Just wanted to let you all know the update, unfortunantly its not what I had hoped for =[
