Sorry I did not mean to offend anyone. I thought it was a simple question?

If you don't know how it happens you don't know how to prevent it?

Didn't offend me.

I've had a table leg slightly chewed but that was 4 boxers ago. Never the couch or stuffed chair.
Now shoes, that's a diff story. But we know who does that and what triggers her action (being left at home too long) the spoiled brat!

I wasn't offended! :)

Allie and Dante play very rough and they often play on the sofa. Some how they managed to open the zipper on the cushion and that exposed all that lovely foam to pull pieces off of. :( It probably would have never happened with only one dog. :)

I agree with Tysoncheeto. And I've actually told Gunther before how judgmental he is or at least comes across. Seems very know-it-all. We support on here and give ideas, not make people feel like they failed. Plus I can't believe how many posts he had done since he joined!! Wow!

I have no axe to grind here, just trying to look honestly at things.
With all due respect lets look at this, Is this the post that got everyone all worked up?

"Well that is crazy A$$ cold. We are pikes out here at -3 or less every few days or so.

I just don't get the couch eating dogs? Never had it happen. I assume the younger one and you have doggie toys of course."

"Thats crazy a$$ cold"
I think he's commiserating with her. Nothing wrong with that.

"We are pikes out here at -3 or less every few days or so."
Not absolutely sure but I think he's saying it is warm where he is in relation to Manitoba temps. Nothing wrong with that.

And lastly,
"I just don't get the couch eating dogs? Never had it happen. I assume the younger one and you have doggie toys of course."
Sounds like an like an honest admission, He doesn't understand why and he's never had that experience. Then finally, He offers assistance, Assuming it's the younger and that she has toys?

Frankly I just don't see a lot of judgement there. And for a different perspective, sometimes tough love is more helpful than appeasement.

Thank you sir, I found your assessment , impressive and correct in every aspect! But I'll concede I my have been a little harsh at times...I'll make more of an effort to raise my BS threshold in the future!

True that..but a lot harder to sale!

I would have appreciated someone saying to me (when I was getting my White Boxer doggie who's parent's were a Flashy Dad and a White mom!)”...uh you might wanna look into that!” But then I like
Jack Nicholson

So once again,sigh... I apoligize to those who's toes felt stepped upon.

Reading my reply in its entirety, you would have seen I was not referring to this comment alone. I was simply stating a fact that his replies collectively have come across a bit negative and judgmental. I too agree "tough love" is sometimes called for. My point being, when you become harsh to a new member or someone who has honestly tried their best with the knowledge they had, and seek help here, and they get answers like "just foster your dog out. The boxers not for you" that's degrading and discouraging and in my view grounds for somebody to stop seeking help with their boxer and who know where that leads for that dogs life. All my point was is to use a little a little discretion. If a dog's well being is in jeopardy of courses we don't wanna be soft spoken about the issue, but to someone who is seeking help, I don't think there is a need for such judgment. That's why they came here for help. Lord knows I knew not half of what I know now about the breed as I did before this forum. It's how you learn. If you read through some of his posts and replies, it was just an observation I made, I didn't want anybody to feel attacked, just wanted to share something I thought could benefit the forum as whole. It was not about this one reply in of itself.

Enough people bashing! Let's get back to the original topic of this thread! :)

It's -26C. this morning, but at least it's not too windy. The pups are not going to want go for a walk. Their feet will get too cold. I am so tired of the cold and winter is not even here yet!

The colder it gets, the closer C. and F. are together. -26C. is -14.8F. At minus 40 they are both the same. :) I hope we don't get that cold. :)
