You must have our winter...
We are enjoying a quick summer (almost above freezing!! 30*F above zero!!).
But I hear we will be back to a balmy -20, -30 again by the end of the week. We're making the most of our short midwinter summer, let me tell you!!!

LOL

But the moose are on the move... got to watch out for them when we go on our walks... not to mention I can't see the dog because it's pitch black out there most of the time now!!
I have simply GOT to buy one of those glow collars.

Well MT didn't get as high as they thought, just 2 above zero but with windchill it's still like -30.... I did buy Darby a fleece jacket, couldn't find booties. But we don't spend much time outside!
Hope the weather gets close to 30 by the end of the week!

.... I did buy Darby a fleece jacket,

Oh Kisaq loves his coats. He has several temp levels. I promise I'll take more photos ...
but below is his lightweight one for days that are 20* or lower ... till about 0* then we add boots. At -20, we add a fleece under coat with the orange one on top. The under layer covers his chest and upper parts of his front legs. Then anything below -30 he gets his double thick over coat over the undercoat, with boots, thermal socks, and a hat. LOL.

You can't really tell, but he's wearing his under fleece in this one. I'd taken off his boots because they were sopping wet by that time ...

Those are insane temps! We are out here crying cause the temps are at 5 degrees! So Kisaq
has no issuee with walking in the boots? Struddell never liked wearing them.

He loves them when it's cold - and truly dislikes them when it's not.
:)
You can tell, because when it's cold out, he stands perfectly still like a gentleman to have them put on, and when I've put them on when it's too warm, he "helps" me take them off. LOL

I have to agree, we had an ice storm on Sunday into Monday, today we're expected to have between 2 to 4 inches of snow and honestly for us here in virginia we don't get a lot of this kinda of weather.well let's just say this is totally messing with housing training. I'm working to get Arabella to WANT to potty outside and she's looking at me shivering like I'm abusing her taking her out there! It takes us several minutes to bundle her up to take her out for a potty break, being right in the puppy stage we have to make lots of trips outside, I didn't even think about the whole puppy thing in the winter months. But that ice I think is just too much on her paws::( I might have to come up with something a little better today!

I have put two coats on Dante and he still doesn't want to go outside. He will go out through to dog door when he needs to potty, but he doesn't stay out any longer than necessary and comes flying back in as soon as possible. Allie is much tougher and doesn't mind going out. It is only -22C. this morning. Hopefully, it will warm up a bit today and we can go for a walk. :)

I love that... "only -22C" LOL
at -18C mine was quite content with the coat. I haven't bought boots for her yet... will see how she does. Thankfully we've only had the one cold snap so far this year...

Our pipes froze this morning at -3F? That has never happened before? No Boxers now only Rocky BLK GSD and he carries his own cold weather gear! He thinks this weather is GRRReat!:)

We were 11F (-11C) yesterday and if we stayed out for more then 5 minutes poor Arabella's back legs would start to shiver, and that was with her coat on. She didn't care as she wanted to play anyway. I would try to get her to burn as much as energy up as I could in a short amount of time. We are now also doing puzzle type toys in the house. She has a Kong Wobbler that she has to knock around to get some food out. So I know put 1/2 cup of food in there to keep her busy. Plus Santa is bringing her a puzzle toy that holds tennis balls (her all time favorite).
