I am so tired of this cold. It's -27 this morning and there doesn't seem to be any end in sight. It's even cold in the house. It's only 13 degrees in here, that's 55F. Brrrr.......

I hope you all are getting warmer now.
Boxers don't do well in that cold.
And it sounds like someone needs to fix the furnace for the house. Brrrrrrrr, 55F deg is cold. Too much like camping out!

We got up into the 40's the last two days and are suppose to hit near 60 in a few days. I hope you all get some of the warm air as well!

Still cold here too! It was a "warm" 15F the other day so I decided to get the dogs out for a quick walk, we made it 2 houses and Juno was already frozen and 3-legged. Even my double-coated border collie mix, who LOVES the cold and goes out to take naps in the snow, comes in shivering and limping.

It needs to end!

This morning it was -33C. (-27F). It has warmed up to -19 this evening and it supposed to rise to a balmy -4 tomorrow, but it is going to be really windy. :( The warmer temperatures are not going to last as it is going to be cold again by the end of the week. I am sick to death of this cold and the dogs are going stir crazy. They decided to start chewing on the cushion on the sofa. :( Grrrr... They had been quite good up until this point. Now I have to keep them out of the living room unless I can watch them. Sigh!

Well that is crazy A$$ cold. We are pikes out here at -3 or less every few days or so.

I just don't get the couch eating dogs? Never had it happen. I assume the younger one and you have doggie toys of course.

Jan, put me in my place if need be. I don't mean to be breaking any rules. I don't think I am, but I'm usually a very passive person. Really it takes a lot to push me to voice my issue on things.

But Gunther, you are highly judgmental. Everyone on this board is here for each other and the love of our boxers. It seems to me every time somebody posts anything about a negative behavior or unwanted event from their boxer, your comments are always how you never had that issue. Your dogs didn't do that. Or some comment leading to the assumption you have successfully raised the perfect boxer. I don't mean disrespect, but everybody has one issue or another and I get the feeling you think your here to "help" us all on this board. We are all here for each other. I think your comments would be more welcomed if you didn't have such a judgmental answer and retort of how you would have never had that problem with your boxer. With all due respect it's been a good 10 years since you have had a young boxer to raise, sometimes our memories fail us over time of the trials of raising a young pup.

When issues arise on this board that people feel passionate about ,yes I have seen that passion come out, and most of the time, it's called for. We love the breed. There are very well educated people on here that know this breed. But even at that you see their "passion" occasionally. I just seem to see you have negative comments often and I wouldn't want to discourage anybody new from continuing to post here because they feel degraded. It's been of great value to me and of great support during a difficult time. Just wanted to share what I've been noticing.

I have never had a couch eating dog before either. Allie is my 5th dog (4th boxer). She is also a counter surfer and nothing seems to discourage her. :(

They have lots and lots of toys and they do play with them.

Sorry I did not mean to offend anyone. I thought it was a simple question?

If you don't know how it happens you don't know how to prevent it?

Warm vibes headed your way Jan. That's too darn cccold. We managed a 15 min walk today. Could have gone longer but I didn't want to put on 12 boots and their feet were getting cold.
