Pam,..... you must be sick of seeing my name by now, but I have to reply to your heartbreaking posts...I feel such empathy with you..Yes I've been there, feeling what you do right now, Many others here will tell you the same...Blizzy Kiddo, and Rocky to name a few..They are all at the bridge, gone but not forgotten...each leaving behind a love that will never be erased by time, they are all with your Ginty, and my Poppy,.
At this moment in time, I know you think that no-one, can possibly understand your heartbreak, and the sad, dark, days you are living through without your beloved Ginty.....You HAVE to go through this time, it hurts, and it's hard and It's not fair, believe me I know.. it's called grieving...It's hard, and almost cruel, I hated the way I felt, I hated having to live without Poppy, It wasn't fair...Suddenly everywhere I looked, other people seemed to have young, healthy dogs, and worst of all, was when I saw someone with a Boxer...The pain was indescribable, as I wondered if my beloved Boxer was somewhere else, looking down at her family...Was she happy? was she free from pain.?..Had I been a good mum, for all those long years she had been like a baby to me?...All I knew was the pain and aching void of her loss. but you will come out of the other side...
I look at her photo's now, and laugh at the happy times we had...I revel in the fact that I believe she sent me Millie, a puppy, not to replace her, or her memory, but to enhance the love that she gave me in the breed, and to let me know, that her presence on earth had given me the knowledge and experience to go on and make a wonderful mum to another like her...Remember all the stuff they do when they are young??...First time round It's all such a shock, but when you've been there before..Well you can't fool us Boxer experts!!!...
Listen Pam...We care, because we understand..If you've shared your life with a Boxer, you've loved a Boxer...Simple fact..They take a place in your heart....We all understand,..Cry, Think of Ginty, and one day the hole in your heart will begin to mend.....Take care, and know that Ginty loves you, and we are always here to support you..(((((hugs)))))) XX
