Boxer Buddy
julie
having some downtime at work I was just clicking through boxeworld and read your story-cassius is my first dog ever and I cant imagine our life without him- he and Deeg look a lot a like- one of my favorite moments is letting cassius out of his crate in the morning- sometimes he's just so sleepy he doesnt even get up when i unlatch the door- i just want to crawl in with him-

I know Magic would be happy and content to know that her mom and dad are happy and giving a fellow boxer a chance at a wonderful life.

Hi Julie:
I hope you don't mind but I took two of the pics of Magic from faces.com and put them on my gallery so everyone could meet my and Tazzy new beautuiful friend. Images are still awaiting approval but it is the first one playful and the second one. She is so beautiful.

A poem written for My Magic

Below is a poem that my step-sons best friend gave to me the day after Magic passed away. He told me that it took him 3 hrs to write it. Tonight, I finally got the courage to read it once again. I am going to type it word by word just the way his friend wrote it.

To Julie

MAGIC
even thou I did not know her
when I saw her she was quite clever
she almost never whined
she never made a fit
the ways she stood out would not be judged about
she is to beautiful to imagine
as if a angel was let go
from her halo
but magic was let go
from her heart and soul
but still she shall not be forgotten
the happiness she brought you
was so true
that I bet she would thank you
for everything you have done for her
she would call you her mother
so all can we do is say goodbye
and perhaps sing a lullaby
and without a doubt cry
for ever she will be remembered
with a thing we call a family
Julie, Dennis(dad) and Adam(son)
were the ones that completed her
but now she is gone forever
for the good and the bad
yes were all sad
but she is probably glad
so all I can say is
I am glad I knew magic
and yes it is a tragic loss
and good bye with a good cause
Love ya Mag!

Wow - I don't know how I have missed this post. I am in tears by your writing and then by Brandon's poem. I am truly sorry for your loss. You & Magic were meant to enter into each others lives. Please accept my deepest sympathies. Mason sends some boxer kisses to you & your family.

My tears woke me up

Magic, I had a dream about you this morning. I was holding you in my arms once again; it felt so good and very real. I could feel your soft fur as I stroked your pretty head... Then...it had to happen again. Your eyes closed, at first I thought you fell to sleep. I shook you and you did not move. I cried out "Magic wake up! Magic wake up!" I started crying in my dream and cried out, "She is gone! She is gone!" "God help me she is gone...!" The dream woke me up; I am still crying...I wish I could take every thing back that happened to you sweet girl...I wish that we could be together again. Magic, no words can describe the frustration of not having you with me any more. You did not deserve the kind of illness that took you away...you did not deserve it.
With many, many tears,
Your Mom forever

Super Boxer
Julie-
This is too weird - I had a dream about my boy Zachary last night, actually it was a nightmare and I am still haunted by it this morning.
I understand your tears and heartache. I'm sending you a big HUG, I know I could use one right now. Hang in there!
