My name is Donald Allen. I'm glad that nobody thought to call me D. A.

I just thought I would give you my ideas. I am absolutely in love with the name Cadence Lorene (Cay-dence Lor-een). My Goddaughter is named Maya Esrae (My-uh Ez-ray). I have always thought it is a beautiful name. Have fun deciding! :)

My best friend in school had an unusual name. She was named Darise. Her Mother was enamored with a movie star named Denise Darcell, (never heard of her). Anyway the first daughter born was named Denise, the second one was named Darcell and when Darise came along she combined the names. I always thought it was a pretty name. Of course I liked the name Darcell also.

CONGRATULATIONS!

I just have to throw in my two cents! These are the names of my grand-nieces and grand-nephew, all of which I thought were unusual and great!

Makayla Elizabeth, MacKenzie ?, Trinity Athena and Devin Scott.

I have drawn a blank on MaxKenzie's middle name . . . .

Can't wait to hear your choice!

If I ever have a girl, her name will be Azure. And if it's a boy, Royal.
Blue is my favorite color, and those are both shades of blue.

Just a suggestion...

I have a niece Elizah and my step sister's son is Elijah (Wood the the actor!). My Daughter is Brie with Ann for the middle. I had a friend who named their daughter Brie Ellen after my daughter was born. I like that better than Ann. Ann was used in honor of several of the Grandmothers and Aunts.

My son is Grant. I used short names so no one could change them. It was a nice strong name for a boy with our last name.

The name selection is a very important job for a future parent. Also, with my experience as a special ed teacher I feel it should be taken into consideration how easy it is to say and spell. We run into so many unique and/or long names that the kids have trouble saying them let alone learning to spell and write them because they are a mile long. That is also true in Regular Ed!!!
It is not fun when people cannot pronounce your name or spell your name in later years either because your name is who you are. Just a thought.

Patty (Patricia) which I consider dull and boring

Yes. We grew up in Cedar Rapids. His Grandpa is my step-dad!!
Since they moved to California no one sees much of them any more too busy. I haven't seen them since i moved to TX. It has been fun watching all his movies and him growing up on screen. Patty
