My Girl's Got Freckles Like Her Mommy

Cherokee turned 5 months yesterday and has started to get freckles just like her mommy. Mine only come out in the summer. Hers will be an everyday thing and I love them. It just goes to show that she's mommy's little girl.

My Lexus is white she's 7 months old and the older she gets the more SPOTS she gets! I'm glad that I read this! I was beginning to think that I had gotten screwed over by the breeder and she had some Dalmation in her. LOL I just watched the 102 Dalmations and she reminded me so much of the one that they called "OddBall". It is hilarious.

Around 11 weeks is about the time I noticed all of Quinsi's spots. I was giving him a bath and was like... O M G look at ALL of these SPOTS on him! They were so noticeable when he was wet. Then when he got out of the tub we really searched him over. He has some on the pink parts of his body.. his belly, his hind legs, his rear end. Everyday the ones under his fur on his back become more and more noticeable. I'm figuring hundreds of spots for my little boy..

Thinks he is a dalmation

My boy tank developed spots around 3 months old or so. At first you only noticed them when he was wet now they are all over and you can see them no matter what. I think they make him look cuter. I haven't been asked about the dalmation yet but I am sure it will happen. He also has one on his privates but also one on each side of his butt in the same spot and a weird one on his little butt hole. I know that is weird to say that but it was funny because for the first few weeks we thought kept wiping his butt to try to get what we thought was poop off. Of course it was a black spot. Greta is fawn but has a white chest with spots all over it. They are cute. Tank has a fawn patch on his back that has a black outline around it. They are just so cute.

Tyson just started getting his spots on his white chest a couple of weeks ago. I didn't realize they get spots.

Its been wet and muddy in the backyard so I always clean his feet and legs with a towel before letting him back in the house. One day I noticed that I missed the mud on his chest and I grabbed a damp washcloth and started rubbing. The dirt wouldn't clean up. I just kept on a scrubbing, Ty's looking at me like, "come on mom, let me go already!"
My daughter says "leave him alone, they're boxer spots."

Opps, silly me. I guess I missed that part in the boxer hand book on morphing.
Are there any other changes I should be aware of so I don't look so stupid infront of my daughter the next time she "enlightens" me? :o

I love Finnegan's spots I think they are so cute. I adopted him at 22 months so I don't know at what age they develop or how quickly. But I do think sometimes that he has more spots after been out in the sun - I could be imagining it :)

I have also been asked on several ocassions if he is a dalmation/boxer mix.

Farley has lots o' spots too! They just really started coming out last month (he's 5 mos). You can really see them when he's wet. I'd be interested to hear why their skin develops these but the fur remains white, as opposed to the way Dalmatians develop their spots, which are also on the fur. Also, does this have any bearing on a dog's adherence to the standard? That is, would a judge look down on a very 'spotty skinned' flashy boxer?

Lily is a flashy brindle, but on her white parts she has spots too! And, of course, she has them on her tummy:) I don't really remember her having them as a baby, but I think they turned up before she was a year old (she's a year and a half now). They are the cutest!!!

Coco'smommy

Coco is dark brindle but has white toes and a white chest. I noticed two black spots on two of her white toes the other day. I too tried to wipe them off because i thought she had dirty feet. They weren't budging. I hadn't noticed them before that. She also has spots on her tummy where she's pink. They are cute and I just call them freckles. She's only 13 weeks so I'm curious now to see if she'll get any others as she gets older. Another odd "spot" she has is on her underbelly. She has a brindle spot I guess you'd call it. It's on the white of her belly but one side of it is tan and the other side is real dark brown. It's kind of neat. You can see it in my gallery under the picture titled "In Daddy's Arms".

Oskar is just over a year old and he still gets an occational new spot. I love them! My SIL who knew what we went through to get him and the research for the perfect reputable breeder asked me last weekend if he is part Dalmation! I couldn't believe it! I just busted out laughing and she wasn't too happy but hello????
