Although puppies change at a rapid rate, it can be hard to notice these changes if around the same pup day after day. My husband and I left for the weekend, and left cute, little white Abby with my parents. When we came home, we noticed...SPOTS!!! She's absolutely covered in them! They are so cute! Does anyone else with white boxers know anything about when the spots develop, why, etc.? I'm just wondering because I had her in the sun for a long time the day before we left. Could they have been brought out like freckles? My Lacey had spots all over, but I thought they took a lot longer to develop, it seems like she was older, like 2 or 3, not 11 weeks!

My fawn girl Jazz started to get spots on her white chest when she was 6 months old. They say the spots are like freckles. Some get them and some dont. It is nothing to worry about! I am sure she looks adorable!;)

I just noticed that too! Legends got just a couple on his chest and although I've seen them before on other dogs, I didn't realize that some get them and some don't.

We were at the park the other day and someone asked me if he had dirt on his chest or something... I said no, they were "beauty marks" because I didn't know how else to explain it. I just might call 'em "freckles" now!

p.s. I think they have them all over their body, but its only noticeable on the white parts (his 'private area' ;) is spotted too!)

Boomer had just a few spots up until the age of about 14 months, then I noticed him getting a few more. I think they're cute. :)

Joe is covered in spots and he is now 8 mos old. I think he started getting them when he was about 3 mos old...could have been sooner. New ones pop up all of the time! They are so cute! My little one asked me if he was part dalmation :p

People are forever asking me if Susie (white 2 year old boxer) is a boxer/dalmation mix because she is so spotted. I too wonder if the sun doesn't bring these out or cause them to develop more quickly.

Maggie, my flashy fawn, also has spots which are just now at one year old starting to appear. They are visible only on the white part of her chest, but I'm sure there are spots elsewhere on her but I can't see them because her fur is thicker than Susie's and a reddish fawn color.

I used to think the spots made Susie unattractive, but now that I am more accustomed to seeing them, I just love them and think she is so cute with all her little spots, especially the ones on her face.

I've also seen white boxers with no spots at all. So, go figure. :)

Welcome back Dan!

Clio is flashy fawn but has those spots everywhere she is white. I think they've gotten thicker as she has aged. She will be three on Saturday 7/14. Since their white hair is rather translucent, the spots really show up when their fur is wet!
