The first year is so hard without them-all the firsts that come with that. GruntsMom, you have always been so kind to everyone here during the loss of their babies. So many times you have posted to me and I just knew you knew exactly what I was feeling. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I pray sweet, sweet memories of your boy, Grunt, comfort you and help you to smile. You were blessed to have each other, though it is never long enough. I know your sweet boy was there to greet my Fraze when he got to the bridge. Thinking of them together makes me smile. Take care and God bless

Dear BW Friends, thank you all so much for posting such kind and caring thoughts to my Grunt Boy's thread. You've all been a great help and comfort to me in so many ways, words could never be adequate. I've spent a lot of time here, reading about your babies and looking at their wonderful pics and videos, laughing with you over their funny silly antics, being proud with you over their successes and accomplishments, worrying with you when they haven't been well, and crying with you when you've lost your Beloved ones. I always felt my boy guided me here in life, and here I am still, with his spirit by my side. It's a good place, with goodhearted people and WONDERFUL Boxers. My deepest thanks to each of you.

I just know my boy is at the Bridge, burning circles around it with your Ailis and your Fraze, and that vision makes me smile, too. He is in fine company. It makes me happy, Elubas, to share that sweet vision with you. Thank you. lovicon

Just caught this thread. Sending you many prayers this sad week. The memories of our loved ones do bring sweet smiles, but every now and then it is good to just have a nice long cry. My beloved Snoopy, my child-hood friend and confidant has been gone about 12 years now and I still have good long cries over him to this day. They bury their sweet fuzzy souls deep within our hearts. Such truly special creatures they are. I feel very fortunate to have been loved by him......and by my two crazy sweet nuts, the boxers in my life Cody and Aniah. You are such a special person....your words to everyone here are always so heartfelt and sincere. I'm so glad your dear Grunt led you to this place for I feel so honored to know you and to have you in my circle of friends......even though we're all separated by thousands of miles, there is a feeling of friendship that means so much.
Sending )))))))Hugs((((((((( your way today and everyday. Your precious Grunt angelicon looks down at you everyday and loves you from his place up at the bridge.

Thoughts are with you

Our thoughts are with you. We lost our sweet girl Jule over a year ago and it is still hard. It's the memories we have of our wonderful Boxers that will help. Hugs to you.

just caught this thread, but i knew this week would be a tough one for you.
everything you express about Grunt is always so eloquent and heartfelt, your love for him is so evident, and so touching.
while i am sure that you are feeling a profound sense of loss and grief, when i read your posts, something else occurs to me - there is a part of my heart that fills with joy.

having the gift of sharing our lives with these wonderful dogs, we've been privvy to a kind of love that some never get to experience. we get to know what unconditional love truly means, to give and to receive it. we are allowed to encounter their deep sensitivity and loyalty, their unabashed joy for life, their mysterious little quirks, and their capacity to live in the moment with no other agenda other than to love and be loved back. i often marvel at how lucky we are to be a participant in their lives, we couldn't ask for better companions in our journey.

and so, the joy i feel is in knowing that your beloved Grunt had you by his side throughout his entire journey. your words paint a picture of a companion who was deeply loved, always doted upon, and rarely anywhere that wasn't close to you. the joy comes from appreciating what a wonderful life you and Grunt shared, how much you still affect one another even though the physical ties have been severed. that kind of devotion is earned through years of love and care, hours and hours of togetherness and comfort in one another's company. not everyone is allowed to experience that kind of true love, and i am so thankful that you and your Grunt did just that in your time together. that is where the joy is to be found.

while your joy will always be tempered with sorrow since he is gone, i know that you wouldn't trade the grief for one second of the life you shared together. their walk with us is always too short, but the beautiful memories abide, and the knowlege that the beloved ones are waiting patiently to rejoin us help soothe a broken heart.

i'll be thinking of you and your beautiful boy and wishing peace and comfort for you as always.

My dear Friends, my heart is overwhelmed and uplifted by your beautifully expressed and loving messages of understanding and empathy. Every single one means so much to me. I have read this thread many times and what strikes me is that the love and joy that profoundly touches all of us who have shared life with a Boxer, never ever dies. Truly, I would not trade any of the heartbreak and sadness of losing my boy - every moment of the life we shared is worth much, much more. I am so honored to have your friendship and share in the lives of your babies - the joy that my Grunt boy brought into my life the day he first trotted into my arms lives on in many ways, and one of them is in this circle of friendship. Thank you. lovicon
