So do mine and most of my cats! ;)

Samson Bubba (boxer) we'd sometimes call him Bubba so it became his middle name.

Dominique Chancey Delilah (mixed breed) they were all names we found in a baby name book.. had a vote and thats how it came out for the 1'st name, the mid names had to be 2 because we couldn't agree on which it should be so we used both.

Sadie Mackenzie (bichon frise) She came with the name Sadie and we added the mid name.

Raven Zara (cat) I luv both of those names! Roameo Cocomo (cat) 'Roam'eo because he was found as a 'roam'ing stray and Cocomo, I found in a dog book and it rymes! Maurice Gustav (cat) Both names come from the movie Ever After. Harley Quinn (cat) My sis picked Harley and Quinn means 5, he's our fifth cat.And Jaspurr is the only one we couldn't think of a mid name for. He'll probably get one sometime though.

O yea! my parakeet has one too! :D it's Winky Duncan. ;)

Our current boxers are Samson and Delilah. I named them from the biblical story. Their names fit. Delilah is the boss and quite the little imp. Samson is so layed back. He can be tricked into anything.

Punkin orange tabby cat. The color of a pumpkin. Looks just kike Garfield. He weighs 25 pounds.

Odie , the rescue, was named after Garfield's side kick.

Sally, the McCaw, had her name when we got her.

Sugar, our first boxer, gone to the bridge. My husband was on a big brown sugar kick at the time.

Spice, mixed breed rescue at bridge, name went well with Sugar.

Duchess, my beautiful fawn boxer at the bridge. named after her mom. My Lady Duchess Dawn. She was indeed a lady and a regal Duchess.

Boomer was named by rescue folks....I'd guess because of the extreme case of separation anxiety he had for the first several months. You could hear his booming bark down at the other end of the studio apartment we stayed in for the first month.

I really have to look at the personality of the cat/dog/horse etc, before deciding. We had a cat that we found in our works' loading dock. He had fleas all over him and ear mites, his name was, "Bugs". We also have a cat that came out of the womb with an extremely large head. We named him, "Fathead". When my 3rd cat almost died after many surgeries (long story), we went to bed thinking she wasn't going to make it till the morning. We woke up to find her awake and responsive in the morning with the sun shining upon her, I said, "Good morning Sunshine" The name Sunshine stuck....

Loke- from a Hawaiian dictionary. She's hawaiian, ya know.

Corgan-He's a sheltie, but I'll share anyhoo. He got his name from Billy Corgan, of The Smashing Pumpkins. That was DH's suggestion and I didn't know where he got it, but I liked it.

Completely Boxer Crazy
We decided to name our kids biblical names.

My husband and I blurted Samson out at the very same time for our first boxer. He is definitely living up to his name. You know, I've never loved a dog as much as I do him. He is terribly special to me. His registered name is Samson Doodle. The Doodle, as silly as it sounds, is from our first adopted dog, Jackson, he doodles around and his silly. He is a boxer/lab mix. Before we even knew Samson's personality, we decided that he would have to be a Doodle too.

Delilah is named Delilah Magdalene. Delilah sounds very delicate, and she is a small little thing. She is smart and tough though. She rules the roost. I love the name Magdalene.

Tyra is a rescue and she came with her name. We registered her as Zipporah Sarai. I worked hard to find good biblical names for her, not sure why though:)

Skippy is the nickname that my husband gave to me. He is a silly person, good sense of humor. Sometimes he says he has "Skoopy Snacks." That is what he calls dinner. Too funny.

So, that's the story. We are not religious freaks but I've been blessed these last 3 years. My husband and I met. Me moved to a beautiful place. We have a wonderful animal family. And, most of all, we are very happy. That's doing pretty good for a 45 and 47 year old.

Mary, Bob, Samson, Delilah and Tyra (Zipporah)

My girls are named after....

The Gabor Sisters. I am Hungarian and love the Gabor sisters. ZsaZsa is 2yo and Eva is 1yo. They have the attitude of the Gabor sisters so it is a perfect fit!

Hoover got his name because he is a bit like a vacuum cleaner!! Not with food, but just the way he sniffs things - the ground, under doors, etc, & snuffling & snorting while he does it! LOL!
