i too love Christmas!! Decorations go up the day after Thanksgiving. Shopping for Christmas now.To me it is a really magical time of year and i love the whole thing.
Trish the only advice I can give you is not to try so hard to please everyone because as you said it's impossible. Just do a little preparation each day so you aren't so overwhelmed as christmas gets closer. And try to simplify. Store bought foods can be as good as home made(well almost) Themed
gift baskets make nice gifts (like a family with kids buy popcorn packs, candy, and a gift certificate to a movie rental place) For a lady make a relaxation basket(candles, lotions, a good book candy).Just use your imagination and you'll come up with all kinds of ideas, but just keep it simple. Most people are happy this time of year and things don't have to be perfect, just play Christmas music & try to relax and enjoy it

If they make a holiday of it, I will decorate for it. TODAY.....I went Christmas shopping at Target and dropped about $400.00 on the kids.....HEY HALLOWEEN JUNKIES--Target has all of the Halloween Stuff 75% off!! I bought Halloween Tees for a dollar and linen napkins for .75!! I bought Halloween costumes for $4.00 that I'm going to give my daughter as dress-up clothes for Christmas!!

Here comes the worst part....I bought (this so bad) a reindeer with lights on his antlers, he's holding a steering wheel and plays the original "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer"!! He's proudly displayed in the kitchen...Also bought the green and red down throw for the living room....Christmas shirts for my daughter....and the other day I bought two beautiful holiday dresses for her because I couldn't decide on one!!
I have to decorate the kids too! God have mercy on these poor dogs when I decide on a Christmas picture pose!!
