Gus, Izzy and I had a very nice nap together. Gus snuggled right up against me.... I missed that sooooo much!!! It felt like he was gone way longer than he was. We are all exhuasted, except Izzy of course, but she is being a good girl and letting him rest. She wants him to play so badly!
I hope I get the results of the biopsy soon. I don't think he has lymphoma, but its so scary to think about. I hate how vets throw that out there. She even wrote it on my discharge instructions, that its common in boxers. It's hard waiting and sometimes I want to cry, but then sometimes I just try to tell myself maybe he just had the enlarged lymph nodes because of the injury he could have had. I just wish he could tell me! I will definately keep a closer eye on him and try to pick up the sticks everyday. He always seems to find one, so thats kinda hard. He is still resting, but I am sure he is exhuasted, esepcially since he was sedated, then under general anesthesia not long after that, and then on lots of strong pain meds. Also, most of the dogs there were barking and it annoyed him, so I am sure he couldn't sleep well. I am just SO happy to have my baby home. I will post if anything changes or when I get results. Hopefully it's soon. My sister and I decided that if he does have cancer, we are moving out of our house! Her 9 yr old lab was just treated for cancer, but she is doing really well now. The vet said the lab had 6 months to live, and it's been longer, and they did an ultrasound and didnt find the cancer anymore! Anyway, I will keep everyone posted. I don't know what I would do without you guys!
