I have mine on a pretty strict diet.

Breakfast: 1 can each of Natural Choice Lamb (Large breed Adult)

Lunch: 2 scoops of Natural Choice Dry (Large Breed Adult)

Dinner: 1 can of Natural Choice Beef with one scoop of dry.

Believe me we have tried lots of diets for our dogs and this one seems to work the best. Within a couple months their coats looked very healthy and the chest became very defined. It also seemed to beef up their immune system. Boxers to the best of my knowledge seem to have an genetic eye leak. With this diet It has really even got the eye problem under control.

The costs on this diet is about $73.00 a month for the cans & $50.00 for the Dry.

We also use the Sojos Dog Treats $15 to $18 a bag for the larger depends where you go.

We tried to spoil them last christmas by cooking a couple porterhouses with a santa dog bowl. They had Diarrhea for about 5 days and chewed the head off of santa. Maybe it was revenge, I don't know but I am glad they blamed Santa.

I started Chance with Pedigree, but after reading this topic we switched him to Canidae Lamb and Rice meal formula and man, what a difference. Granted it's a little more expensive than the pedigree but his coat is beautiful, he doesn't scratch as much and pooper scooping has become much less of a chore :)

I started on Iams (I know, I know) and after educating myself we switched to Royal Canin Sensible Choice. Well my kiddo's love it and they have healthy coats and all that good stuff. BUT - I recently started a thread about gas (when guests arrive) and it was suggessted to me that Royal Canin isn't the best (I admit I still like it thusfar though). So since its been awhile I am getting ready to rotate their food and thought it a wise choice to switch brands. Yesterday I followed the dog food analysis link and after lots of review, I think I'll try Fromm's Duck and Sweet Potato. Has anyone tried Fromm's? I know its not "6 star" food and its "5 star" food - but I truely cannot afford the Timberwolf at this time. We have a new house, the pupps are on health insurance, medications, and I spend and ENORMOUS amount on them a month. So, please don't get mad I'm not feeding Timberwolf....

Thanks for the suggesstions!!!

PS - After all the help regarding gas I now puree apples with nonfat plain yogurt, freeze it, and give them a dollop after dinner. They love the taste and I love what they're getting out of it! :)

When we brought Mackensie home @ 6 weeks, she was eating Purina Puppy Chow. We have since switched to Nutro Lamb / Rice Large Breed Puppy. She is 13 months old, healthy, happy, and shiny. It works for us, so why switch??

We feed Sasha Prairie Farms Lamb and Millet. She gets a cup in the am and a cup with some green beans in the pm. She LOVES it! It is oven baked and all natural so I don't feel like she's getting a lot of junk fillers even though it's kibble. Her stomach issues have all cleared up.

We were feeding Chicken soup, before that iams, before that nutro! I think we have finally hit the jack pot!

Boy do I feel kind of dumb...I've never even heard of most of the brands you all seem to favor. When my boy was a baby he loved Beneful puppy. Switched to Iam's for less than a week when he turned 18 months -worst gas in the world, plus the runs! Poor Chewbacca hadn't had an accident in the house in ages and he looked so guilty about the mess on the kitchen floor. Now we do Natural Choice, which he seems to do well on. Dry food only because I hate to admit he also eats everything I eat. Anyone else guilty of feeding table scraps?

Oscar is currently getting a mix of half Merrick's Grammy's Pot Pie and half Nature's Varitey Raw Instinct. We're almost dome with it and I am starting to transition him to half Innova Evo RM and half Canidae Lamb and Rice. Eventually I plan to have him on grain free kibble only. He gets a tablespoon of plain yogurt with his morning meal.

I feed mine Innova adult. I have been using Natura's dog foods for the past 10 years. I am very loyal to Innova and feel good about feeding it, although I am getting interested in feeding raw. I think raw is ideal. We'll see if I can pull it off!

Steeler is on Natural Balance Fish and Sweet Potatoe because of all his allergies. Buckeye gets Lamb and Rice. They both eat duck and Potatoe treats.

How do you like that food? Thats one of the two things I'm planning on rotating to... My Titan has allergies and now she's on Royal Canin Sensible Choice and the main ingrediant is Chicken...so I figured the Fish would be a good thing to try...

Thanks soo much!!!!
