Thanks everyone, never even thought to check producers websites. And Wild Oats is a human health food store - I would have never thought of that.
What's everyones thought on the age differences and food. I have a 10 year old and a 1 year old. I wouldn't think they would have the same needs.

I looked very hard to try and find a dog food for my guy and found at the end it was like an overload. All I knew is I wanted to get him off puppy chow as soon as I could. Mind you he is just 9 weeks but the breeder had them on chow, and I have started switching to Canidae. Canidae All Life Stages is what I picked to use as a food. He has had zero problems with the switch and he is at about 50/50 mix with Canidae and Puppy Chow right now and has had no change in poops, if any they look to be a bit better.

Just checked Canidae's website and there is a food store about 18 miles from where I work! Yeah! Also, they make cat food, maybe I can finally get my 20lbs cat to loose weight.

Pepik is currently on Innova adult. Before he ate Nature's variety (beef), California Natural lamb and we tried some other brands as well. Also tried raw diet but that didn't work because his stomach didn't adjust to it. Raw is supposed to be the very healthiest if they do well on it. I have to limit it to raw chew bones once or twice a week.
Now when he eats Innova he poops almost only half as much as when he was on Nature's variety.
There is a website with (dry) dog food reviews. Unfortunately I don't know how to post a link here but if you type dog food reviews and click search i'm sure you can find it. It gives info, ratings and pros and cons of different brands:)

Jack has been eating Beneful puppy and my adult cocker LOVES Beneful adult food - its all she will eat! Both have solid poop and are in great health.

Jack - 4 month brindle, docked, floppy, and hyper!
Sam - 6 yr old cocker, a pretty blonde girl!

Hi, me again. The Pet Supplies Plus store also carries Innova, but in the reviews it is not recommended for puppies. My guy will be one at the end of the month, would he still be considered a puppy?

Beanerbaby, I'm glad you found a local store with Canidae. I was just going to tell you to go to their website and type in your area code for a local store.

As far as your pups, I would recommend getting the "All life stages", the theory is that animals in the wild eat the same food, whether young or old, so why do we feed puppy food vs adult? Senior/reduced fat is only if you're trying to trim weight off your dog. I don't know, but it makes sense to me. At 1 yr old, your boy should DEFINITELY be eating adult food, or better yet, "All life stages" :)

Steeler is on Natural Balance Fish and Sweet Potatoe because of all his allergies. Buckeye gets Lamb and Rice. They both eat duck and Potatoe treats.
