i've delt with this
one of our boxers who is at rainbow bridge (not related to the problem she lived to be 9) would be running around and all of a sudden collapse and would get glazy eyed and couldnt move. It was like she was in another world and not realizing what was happening. It was almost like seizures without the shaking. It was a hidden heart defect. Please have it checked out.

Hi all ! Well we took sabastian to the new vets. "I really like this vet". His heartworm test came back good, but sabastian has a Tumor about the size of a baseball in where his flanks are. around the bladder, spleen,etc. He goes in Monday for a FULL Blood panel, x-rays for his heart and the tumor. and possibly an ultrasound for the tumor also. If his heart is fine, he'll go in for surgery to find out what the tumor is and take out. But if his heart is not fine than we go from there. He can't operate on the tumor with a bad heart cause he said he more than likely won't come out of it. If his heart shows I guess spotty stuff than there is nothing he said could be done other than let him live to however long he goes or worst option euthansia. Thats not an option for me. There's more to it but I can't remember right now. And if your wondering why nothing was done today is because we refused to leave him in there over the weekend by himself just for the blood test that won't be back till mon. or tues. anyway. He is acting great right now, he doesn't seem to be in any pain, but the way it looks this tumor grew baseball size in less than a week, so something has to be done soon. Thank God for Rapid Refund, we filed today and will have a check monday to pay for this vet bill. They quoted us possible $1,500 for the vet bill. Oh well anything for bastian. Please pray his heart is fine and the tumor hasn't spread for us. Thank You all for your gracious time and friendship and for your Love of Boxers!!!!

This may not be the case with your dog, but Mine, Chaos was collapsing, an drooling alot. After walking only a few steps he would fall. I took him to the vet umteen times with wrong diagnosis's (i did my reasearch.) The symptoms did not match the diagnosos.
finally after hundreds of dollars and A fantastic Vet in sunvalley Idaho, he was properly diagnosed with
Acquired Myasthenia gravis, it goes hand in hand with megaesophagus (which will cause the drinking and drooling) It is rare, but worth checking into if all else has failed.
His vet (MR. Misdiagnosis) told me to put him to sleep!! NO WAY!! I will never take him there again, from now on we make the trip to Sun Valley. Chaos is fine now with his medication. I tried to e-mail you with this info an couldn't but I emailed the administrator. I'll be praying for you and Sebastian because I know how scary it can be to not know what is going on!!

I am so happy you decided to seek a second opinion and went to the vet hospital!!!!!! Now they know what is going on and are doing everything to be able to help him. They really seem to be on the ball with things, that's great.
I will diffently be keeping your baby in my thoughts and prayers. I hope his chest/heart are good and they can remove the tumor (finger, paws, and toes crossed for a benign one) that is most likely causing his problems. Give him a ((hug)) for me and tell him to stay strong!!!!!! Please keep us updated on Sabastian!!!

I also wanted to say I'm sorry that Sabastion is having these problems. I know it's awful when something, anything is wrong. I'm proud of you...you seemed to KNOW something was wrong, and you didn't quit trying to find out what. appicon God Bless you and Sabastion! Thank You all so much for caring, sabastian is at the vets now, we have to call them at 2. Poor baby wasn't allowed to eat or drink after 8:00 last night. He wasn't feeling to good on the ride to the vets. I'ts so sad cause they don't understand why their not allowed to eat or drink and why mommy and daddy left them in a strange place. I feel so bad. I feel even worse leaving him there when he is acting like he is fine and of course we all know better. I'm hoping they don't have to use anasthetic for the x-rays and stuff. They shouldn't have to cause he stay's when told to pretty good. I'll keep ya'll updated on his condition as time goes on. You Folks are wonderful!!!!!!!
Bye the way tomorrow is my B-Day and wed. is our Anniversary. So I'm hoping to have good news for these occasions! Sabastian sends lots of drooly kisses and hugs (he really hugs) your way.
