Grunt doesn't bark much at all either. One night a few weeks ago my bf and I were watching tv while grunt was asleep on the floor by our feet. all of a sudden he jumped up and stood in front of the door making a strange sound like a mix between a growl and a bark. our first reaction was that he heard one of our neighbors (we live in an apt) or something outside. a few minutes later grunt did it again so my bf went to the door and there was no one there and no one out in the apt complex. we didn't think much about it but he's done it once since then too. He never barks at noise from our neighbors. Also, in the past few weeks i've noticed a strange little white light (like an orb) in a few pictures that I've taken of grunt. my bf doesn't believe in ghosts or anything like that and he just says i'm crazy

re: ghosts

When Roxie was maybe, I don't know 2 years old, we used to live on an old estate, just for the winter. My Hubbie and I would check the heat in all four houses everynight, that was our job, ( we lived there rent free and they paid us 200 bucks a month, we bought our own house when we were done, anyway, that was 100 years ago:) ) The property was very very old. Roxie would not go into the oldest house on the property, she just wouldnt go. NOW, we still had tooooooooooo!!! Weird things happened there and we werent surprised when she wouldnt go in. Pillows would have body imprints on them one day, not the next. Cans of soup on the counter, gone the next day, oh gosh I could go on and on. And I think Roxie see's our Dylan that passed on a year ago, she just stares into space then slowly looks around. I could tell ya all stories that would freak u out............but I won't, anyway, yeah I definetly KNOW they can sense things!!!!!! :)

OMG I thought I was going crazy....foolicon This only happens when I'm around. (I've had a couple of incidents) One night during the holidays Gizmo and I were watching T.V. when all of a sudden he gets up and starts growling. I thought it was my mom. So I called out. Nothing.... Gizmo started barking towards the hallway, but nobody was there. He just stood there guarding the door. I walk towards him grabbed my camera and started taking pics. After I calmed him down I notice in the pics that something was there. Later that evening I showed my DH the pics and the only thing he could say was that I'm wasn't a good photographer.

We bought this house last year and everytime I'm alone with Gizmo something or someone always startles him. Sometimes for no reason he growls up at the ceiling. Especially when we're in the basement doing the laundry together. My grandma always said that dogs are able to see ghost, because of their eye snot. Don't know if its true but It freaks me out.... (Sorry so long)

Yes I believe they do. There are several threads on here that have some great stories on them. I myself have posted on two of them. I know one of them is titled "Does your Boxer see things?" Do a search & check them out if you like these kind of things. It's really pretty interesting.

Ghosts

I believe dogs can sense things as well. When my aunt died, my boxer woke me up at exactly 2:35AM just howling her head off. My mother called me the next morning and told me my aunt had died. I asked her what time and guess what.... My aunt and I were very close and my mom thinks her spirit came to visit me and woke up Lola.

Well Saffie ofter wags her stumpy at thin air! follows someone around again wagging her stumpy but I can't see anyone!!!!!! It doesn't frighten me though coz they obviously pose me no harm or she wouldn't be so happy to see them!!!!!

I think I may need to consider this. The BF and I just laugh it off on the nights that Gunther will start barking soon after we turn out the lights. There is never anything seen nor heard by either of us. The BF would get up to check it out. We've been in the house a little over a year and it is fairly old. We do not know the history of the house, but I think I will check into this. Things that make you go "hummmmmmmmmmm"
