I truly believe they can see ghosts. A few years ago in our old house, I came home for lunch and was sitting there watching t.v when my big boy Jake jumped up and ran into the doorway of the kitchen. He stood there with every hair on his back raised and a deep viscious growl that I had never heard him do before looking up as if he was looking at someone standing there. Needless to say, the hair on the back of my neck stood up as I thought someone had got into the house. So I slowly peeked into the kitchen area and no one was there but, Jake was confronting something. That evening, I was telling my husband what had happened and my daughter overheard me. She said that is the same area where she and a friend of hers saw a shadow of a man. I was freaked! We did have some strange things go on in the house after that. Thankfully we moved and have had no ghostly antics since.

My mom thinks Cin talks to my grandparents. My grandma died 10 days before I was born and my grandpa a few months. We have a painting of them in the living room by the back door. Cin will sit there, look up at the sky out the back window then look at the painting, then back out the window then back at the painting. This goes on for about 5 or 10 minutes.

Years ago my Dad had a house we all thought was haunted. We would hear strange noises, things would be moved, etc. The thing that would freak us out the most was when the dog and the cat would both suddenly lift their heads up and watch something move across the room. We couldn't see anything, but the dog and cat would be on opposite sides of the room and have their heads move simultaneously and would be focused on the exact same spot of the room. We would call their names and try to get their attention but they would not stop looking at whatever they saw. Glad he moved out of that place.

I dont actually have any stories aout this directly,
But when I was about 9 my nans spaniel died, which had been mine untill we let my disabled nan keep her for company. She was quite old when she went to my nans and they were great for each other. Any way when she died I walked up our garden path, and I heard her trot up behind me, panting. I happily spun around, forgetting shed passed on. Of course she was not there, But I DID hear her.

Back to which. Yes I believe that animals have the senses required to be aware of any spiritual happenings. I do not doubt that they could not.
