Better today. Hungry drinking. Has some energy.

Problems
Stiff movement. Barely moves front legs. She is trying to play ball but when she touches it with her foot she yelps
Unable to put head down to the floor to eat or drink.
Yelps sometimes when we pick her up
Will stand and circle multiple times and then not lay down. She looks like she is trying too but hurts to much.

Glad to hear improvement in the last few posts. Hope it keeps up.

Her sensitivity to touch/manipulation sounds so strange. I've never heard of anything like that. Inflammation can make one sensitive like that. Have you considered seeking a second opinion? Have your vets sought advice from their peers or other specialists? I'm imagining a grizzled old guru of a vet whose seen everything on earth and run the case by him/her. The situation sounds so strange is all.

Your girl is such a trooper. I hope she gets better. You're in my thoughts.

where are you? I think I read in a previous post you had her at PVSEC? I am in Mars and my friends have a lab (he's 9) who is having some of the same troubles as your girl. Did hers come on suddenly? Their dog was seemingly fine one day then by bedtime he was in too much pain to stand up, barely. Their vet can not discover a cause either and they are afraid they are going to have to put him down. I don't know if he screams but he is in severe pain and won't eat bc of it. He hardly moves and can't walk to do his business. They've had him on some drugs (antibiotics, pain meds, not sure what else) but they are fairly poor and can't afford to do a lot more. Their vet first suspected Lyme, and most recently said he has a damaged but not torn ACL. Still, he is way worse off than 'just' that. I hope there is not some strange new disease cropping up here in eastern PA! Prayers for Sable, I hope she gets well again.

Already been to both local vet and to the city specialists.

We were suspecting a possible meningitis but I don't think so. We are hoping she is just sore from the sub q fluids.
