Boxer Booster
We too, after researching a variety of breeds, selected a Boxer for the exact same reason. No kids of our own but 8 nieces & nephews.
I agree with everything in this thread. The only "problem" (I hesitate to say "problem") is if the kids run in fear. Jingo doesn't recognize fear, she thinks play. Once she scared a 4-yr old niece, who huddled down in a ball & cried (a little over dramatic - we were all watching) and Jingo huddled in a ball across from the hall from her and was miserable! She didn't mean to scare the girl.
Since then, Jingo has matured (some!) and obedience training, she's not as quick to chase unless it's a free for all play session that is! She does have a strong desire to thoroughly clean *all* children's faces and ears!
Milo loves kids too, he's just more reserved. He's so gentle, it's amazing. It's like he "worries" over them.
