Also I was going to say, a trait I have noticed in Layla already is the cocking of her head to one side, she looks like she is confused or something.

Kidneybeaning is when they kind of fold themselves in half an wag thier nubs and walk sideways toward you!!! It's like they want to show you their but and look at you at the same time! Rico does it every morning without fail!

Marley's Traits

Marley loves to bite hands and feet also. she also whines every morning when she knows i have to leave for work. i keep her in the bathroom with me when i'm in the shower so she doesn't tear up anything and she whines the whole time as if i'm gonna stay in there all day. when i get out she loves to lick me. she also loves to jump on everyone and lick them like crazy. she likes to jump on other dogs and bite any part of their body she can. she also whoos a lot and tries to kidneybean but she is still a bit clumsy. she'll run into walls then turn around and look at it like its crazy for bumping into her. she loves to snuggle. she also likes to pounce like a cat. she loves to crawl in my lap and take a nap. she's starting to get too big for it though. she has horrible gas and snores. she'll also try to crawl in my lap while i'm trying to drive or crawl b/w my back and the seat and sleep on my neck. i have to tie her up so she won't do that anymore b/c i don't want to wreck. she also loves to roll on her back when we're playing and kick her feet all over and eat my hair. she likes to do front flips into my arm then bite it. overall, she is my baby!!!! i'm definitely in love with my dog! she puts a smile on my face everyday!

Ripley's mom

My not so little Ripley is a kidney beaner, gas expert, but luckily no snorer!!! She loves to swim for a stick but doesn't like to swim to get a ball... I think she almost drowns herself because her mouth has to be just that little bit wider with a ball! She woo woos, and has just started talking, which is kind of a gurgling sound that has various tones. She loves to grab ankles just before we go for a walk, but is an angel on the lead. She knows that if she sits she gets ANYTHING she wants because she is too cute. She sleeps on the bed, and has started getting up and collapsing on top of me during the night...it's like she does a little bombie, just to let me know she is awake. Of course her preferred spot is in the middle at 90 degrees....

Rico lulled us into a false sence of security by being really good when we left him in the house. For the first three weeks after I decided to stop 'caging' him when we left, he was good as gold. I boasted to my friend who has Ricos brother about how good he was because there was no way she could leave Deeogee out when she wasn't around! I put it down to my two other dogs training him and keeping him company so he didn't feel the need to rebel! After what I like to call 'the honeymoon period', I came home to a horriffic mess every time I left. He even worked out how to open the trash can which has a lid that latches in two places! He'd go into the laundry room and pull out all the dirty clothes and leave chewed up underwear on the couch! Needless to say he's back in the cage when we leave now! I feel really bad when he watches me set the cage up and when I put him in it the other two look at him like "Ha Ha! We get to run around and you don't! Mummy loves us more than you!" I really do love him, I just don't love the mess he makes!

Hey Ripley!

Our Boxer, Lucy, looks so much like Ripley it's scarey! Lucy is our spoiled baby girl. She too, will stretch out across the bed taking up way more than her fair share. The jackhammer (I'm glad I've got something to call it now), snoring, talking (Just started) are just a few of her endearing habits. She's got to be the smartest dog that I've ever had. To go outside, she's got her own door bell...this has really saved our door frames (If only our cats would do the same!). A big deal to her is waiting for the morning paper and then going to get it for us, although she does tend to get side-tracked easily. A little ADD maybe? After getting our paper, she'll get the neighbor's paper and leave it on their front porch. I wouldn't trade anything for any of the dogs that I've had in the past, but I do wish that I'd discovered Boxers long ago.

Soon, I'll get some pics of Lucy posted for you Ripley.

Hey there Lucy and family..

As I type, Ripley is racing around the house talking with her squeaker ball (which was a present - because no sane boxer owner would buy one for their child!)...so she is wawalling and squeaking as she runs through the house.. I thought I had left that toy at a friend's place, but it seems to have mysteriously returned!
Can't wait to see the photo's of Lucy - we are sooo lucky to have these beautiful beasts in our lives. Ripley and I have just returned from her nana and pops (my parents). Her photo has pride of place on the entry stand in front of all those silly human grandchildren! Of course she has them completely wrapped around her little paw, and for 'non doggy' people thats saying something!
