JJPUP

Boxer Pal
My puppy waits for us to get out of the shower and licks our legs. whenever I have a cup he always has to lick the outside of the cup, even if there is not anything on the outside of it. Well no matter what I will always love my boxer. lovicon

My new Boxer, Dia, has all of the traits listed here, but what in the world is a "KIDNEY BEAN" ?? Also, anyone found just the right food for the gas problem? I am trying Science Diet Sensitive Stomach, we'll see how that works....PU!!!!!

Well, Joxer seems to be a very typical boxer and it's fun to see that many of the traits we find so endearing in him is common to most boxers! One thing he does ( among many) that just cracks us up is that when he is playing soccer with one toy on the floor he has to have another one in his mouth! (maybe it's a mouthguard?)

Regarding the "PU" problem....as Dia gets older, it will get worse. We feed Porter Eukanuba "Lamb and Rice".....he is really not too offensive with this food. I think beef is the culprit. Also, since boxers are so sensitive, beef may be too hard to digest. J.D. [1st boxer] had an allergy to all other foods...Lamb and Rice did the trick. However, when he slept and was very relaxed that's when he could clear a room!.....usually sleeping under my side of the bed....that and snoring! WOW! Anyone want to talk about boxers snoring?....they are hilarious aren't they?

Bentley traits

I have enjoyed this thread so much. I've read maybe 3/4 of them. Our Harley went to the Rainbow Bridge, April 11th. One thing that he did that I haven't read thus far and please, if anyone else's boxer has done this, please reply, is kick his hind legs back after he drank water. If you said, "good boy", he'd do it again!
Bentley our 14-week-old brindle does the following:
1. Kidney beaning
2. Woo woo
3. Lie on his back
4. Jump straight up in the air
5. Lick our legs after our showers
6. Whine
7. Play very rough and the next minute can just soft-bite you
8. Suddenly, without any warning, grow devil horns  and race around and around at super warp speed!
9. While vacuuming or mopping, will bark, non-stop.
10. Takes parts off of the vacuum cleaner
11. Plays keep-away outside every single time you're in a hurryevilicon
12. Fast and eager-to-please learner
13. Snores - LOUD
There are many more I know that I've forgotten. As with Harley and Brutus, we love our furbaby more and more each day.

This thread is very funny, I love it. Bentley and Jackson love to lay on thier backs with all four feet moving and kicking each other. I also have notice that when they are fighting over a bone that Jackson will sit on Betley until he gives his bone up. They are hilarious.foolicon

Dancing and Talking??

Somersaulting yes!! Mr. Jerry does this all the time. When he is catching his ball, frisbee, or you tell him to dance. I have the most extroardinary video of him in mid flight. But his latest feat, and I kid you not is his talking to us. When he is upset or tired or just wants a little attention,he will start to mouth back to us. It sounds so much like he is saying "MaMa", and when daddy talks to him and asks him what he wants he mouths "RumRum". Now I know I'm not losing my mind so I have had many of my friends and Parents to witness this, also I have videoed him. My parents were in town yesterday and Mr. Jerry put on his display. They were speechless, and we were sooooo proud..heheheh! This addition to our family has certainly proven to be has muched loved as our own children. And we dare not call him a DOG in front of Daddy! *now that is weird*..lol...its his son don't you know!......:D

Ok, I was watering the grass when Dia decided the hard spray coming out of the hose was the enemy!:) She jumped up and took the full force of the hose in her face biting at it over and over until she was soaked and I was in hysterics!! What a fun way to water the grass!

Dia also plays the 'shoe game'. When I try to put my shoes on, the game is on! She grabs my shoelaces, shoes, socks or pant legs and tries to wrestle them away. Very funny. Now if I am in a hurry I climb onto the bed to put my shoes on or I know I will be playing the shoe game until I am late!! What a fun dog!!!

Our Shadowdog (male - 9 yrs old) plays tether ball on our daughters' tether ball pole with himself. He will stay out there for an hour at a time barking and going after that darn ball.....needless to say we have had to replace a few!! We just became the parents of an 8 week old female the girls have named Shilo.....I wonder if he will teach her to play!??
