Boxer Traits

Almost all of these traits describe Maxie. She also likes to jump in your arms. Mostly when my husband comes home, she will run across the room and just as she gets to him will turn side ways and jump up into his arms. She ocassionally tries it with me, but she is so heavy that I can't catch her. So she has pretty much stopped doing it to me. She will also "hold hands" with him and dance in a circle on her back feet. To her this is nothing special because she thinks she is human and stand on her back legs all of the time.

After reading more I keep remembering more things. Maxie loves to chase bubbles, more than my 5 year old daughter does. She also loves to hug. If you sit down she will stand up and put her front arms around your neck, which is cute. the thing that gets old quick is that the hug is just an excuse to stick her tounge or her entire face in your ear!

We got her for my daughter's birthday and they are pals. When Rachel started school this year Maxie started tearing up the house. She never tore anything up until school started and now when we leave the house nothing can be left within her reach. That includes remote controls, batteries and cell phones.

Muggsy --

I have a male who's almost 4 years old. He was neutered around a year old, and didn't lift his leg until he was about 18 months - 2 years. One day, I was taking him out and bam! He lifted his leg and started marking all over the place. It was like it just dawned on him that he could do it.

Your Muggsy will do it when he's ready!

When we come home Jingo does the kidney bean like mad and then chases her tail one direction and then other direction. When she's having a "puppy fit" (running around like crazy) in the back yard she looks like a running frog, I can't think of any other way to describe how it looks. She has crashed into the fence, the house, and me at times! :D She does not like to be on her back at all, but if she is for any length of time she'll sneeze! Luckily she's only gassy if we've changed her food.

I would have to say, after reading the common traits of boxers, my dog is normal.
*gas:LOL:
*flattens out like a frog. She will be a year old next month and I will never understand how she still gets under the bed.
*playful
*happy go lucky
*loves to have her tummy rubbed. you could be her new best friend, just rub her belly.
*kidney bean
*woo woo song
*bark is worse than the bite, or should I say the fake growl
I wish I could think of other things to tell you she does, but I don't have enough space.

The "kidney bean" is when they are SO HAPPY to see you that they no only wag their tails, they wag their entire back half in such a way they look like a kidney bean! :D

my doggies traits..

Ok Here's all the things Mollie & jed do...even though I have just lost Mollie, I'm still talking about her like she's here :(

Mollie:
- The queen of kidney beaning!! and must have a toy or anything she can find in her mouth at the same time! she has even picked up bits of fluff if it's all she can find.
- Sleeping with one leg out, we call it her racing leg, like she's on standby to get up and go.
- Big snoring and BIG burps after a drink or dinner.
- Wiping her moosh on the valance on the bed.
Talking, and when she does she sounds like chewbacca! Its so funny.
- Coming in to the bedroom when she hears you roll over hoping your awake, she kidney beans beside you and you have to play dead so she goes away.
- Sleeping on the end of my bed as soon as hubby gets out.

I MISS HER!!!

Jed:
- Likes chewing on ankles and feet.
- Circle mouth....the way he howls when he hears sirens outside, he joins in.
- Sleeps on Mollies back, sits on her head, where ever she is, he lobs on her.
- Face puller....when he wrestles with Mollie he grabs Mouth fulls of her face and stretchesit, I always tell him NO then.
- Rest his 'flabs' on the coffee table or your leg when your eating, leaving behind a nice wet semi-circle.

Wanda,

Mollie must've been a wonderfully sweet and funny dog! Today is the perfect day for you and Jed to be thankful you had her in your lives.

Thanks for sharing ... Happy Thanksgiving!

Completely Boxer Crazy
Hi there,
My baby lays on his back all the time and waits to be rubbed. He also chases his tail (or tries to) kind of hard to catch a docked tail....lol. I'm not sure about the flies though as we have not had him too long, but he loves to chase strings just like a cat. He would rather have a shoelace than any of his chew toys. foolicon
