K'OED - (verb) - what usually happens when you decide to play with a rambunctious brindle who has a wicked left and right!
backward glance - (verb) - this always happens when you tell the boxer to go lay down. As they are in the process of going to lay down, they stop and glance back to see if you are really sure that's what you want. (this is usually followed with the loud sigh)
challenge stance - (verb) - this is the posture most commonly seen when the boxer is either bored or is telling you to "get off the couch...it's play time"!! The stance is bold and challenging, with both front legs stretched forward and the butt is midair. This is commonly followed by twirls and leg-thumps, and then is quickly returned to the challenge stance.
filtered water - (noun) - this is water that has been slurped up too fast by the boxer and then filtered through the stomach and reprossessed (usually in the middle of the floor about 10-20" from the water bowl) for later drinking!
Roo - (verb) - also known as the Kangaroo jump, but in my house it's called the "roo". When Spirit is ready to come in, he will jump at the door almost to the point of knocking his noggin on the porch roof! As he does this and each time his face appears in the window, we say "I see roo"!! :D
butt-biting - (verb) - an action similar to having a cling-on, only this happens whilst the boxer is sleeping soundly then suddenly jumps up and tries to get whatever that was that just bit their butt!!
toot-face - (verb) - this is a mixed expression of denial and embarrassment. It comes immediately after a boxer-toot (fart). Once the toot is released, the boxer head turns in the direction of the butt, as if to say "did that come from there...nawww...*sniff sniff*...ewww...yup that was me" and then the boxer makes eye-contact with whoever is closest and the ears lay back with that look that says "s'cuse me...pardon me..hehe..so sorry"!! :o
garbage pail - (noun) - an over-sized food bowl/toy box!
