Boxer dictionary

If Mr. Webster had a boxer there would be a few extra entries in the dictionary. Here are a few that I have come up with:

Woo woo: (noun) Sound made by boxer designed to get whatever he/she wants from Mommy and Daddy (see below)

Mommy: (noun) Adult female in the house who is the “keeper of the treats” and "provider of toys".

Daddy: (noun) Adult male in the house who complain of the amount of money spent on dog toys but willingly gives up his place in the bed so boxer can sleep next to Mommy.

Kidney beaning: (verb) Dancing with such a level of excitement that you run the risk of bumping your nose on your own butt.

Fur baby: (noun) Child you love that is covered with velvety soft fawn, brindle or white fur.

Skin kid: (noun) Child you love that is NOT covered with velvety soft fawn, brindle or white fur.

Snoogling: (verb) Act of snuggling and licking entire face of loved one at the same time.

Boxer Gas: (noun) Noxious fumes emitted from adorable, wiggly butt that makes one think a skunk would make a better pet.

LOL: (abbreviation) Laughing out loud – done several times daily by anyone living with a boxer

ROF: (abbreviation) Rolling on floor (usually preceeded by LOL) done often by anyone living with more than one boxer

Boxer burn: Running at full speed low to the ground, in circles or in sporadic directions to let out energy, sometimes includes 180 degree spinds in the air.

Inchworm: (verb) slow, almost unnoticable belly crawl from pillow to edge of dinner table. similar to military low crawl but sneakier.

Here are a few -

"Toy:" Any item the Boxer takes a liking to; including pens, shoes, plants, magazines, etc. Does not necessarily have to be designed and sold as a "toy."

"Bed:" A large piece of furniture, usually comes in "King-size" or "California King-size," consisting of a box spring and mattress, covered with sheets, blankets and comforter, where the Boxer sleeps. The Boxer may or may not allow the "Mommy" and the "Daddy" to sleep alongside it in the "bed."

"Cling-on:" residue left attached by either a thread or piece of grass to the Boxer's bottom when it's done pooping. Causes the Boxer to race at top speed around the yard trying to run away from the "cling-on" The only remedy for a "cling-on" is for the "Mommy" (usually) or the "Daddy" (much less frequently) to remove it by cornering the Boxer between their legs and pulling it off with a paper towel or kleenex. :rolleyes:

"Chin rest:" when the "Mommy" and "Daddy" and "skin kids" are eating and the Boxer is being ignored. To attract the appropriate amount of attention, it presses its chin heavily on the leg of the person deemed most likely to share their food with it. Also goes along with "sad eyes" (self-explanatory).

Deer-Prance: (verb) The act of running very quickly, and without warning hopping several times straight up into the air, simulating the running style of a deer.

Smoochie-Poochie: (noun) The look of a boxer when sleeping with their chins on the arm of the couch causing the "lips" to meet in a pucker.

The Lean-To: When a boxer decides to be shy and leans on the leg(s) of mommie (mostly) or sometimes the daddy. An expression of apprehension and relief appear on the boxer's face simultaneously.

"Jackhammer": (verb) Repeatedly pushing down with stiff front legs in order to retrieve something in the couch cushions or some other sort of frusterating situation (similar to the look of a jackhammer). Can be used on a human if they are trying to hide a "toy" behing their back while lying on the couch.

Flying goo (noun) - stuff that flies from boxer jowls when said boxer is highly excited and shakes its head around. Is usually found stuck to various walls, doors and clothing.

Flap, flap, flap (adj.) The sound made when boxer shakes head around, usually followed by flying goo.

Jowl towel (noun) - Essential equipment for any boxer owner to wipe the boxer jowls of drool and bits of stuck food.
