Anybody else reading the Twilight books?

Twilight fan here!!! I have to laugh cuz I have 2 kids, and really got into these Twilight books. My theory is...They put you back in high school again. And is gives us women with bills, kids, husbands, dogs, life..() a nice little change.I have read all 4, and seen the movie. My advise is...read the books first, THEN see the movie. A co-worker started the Twilight madness at my work, and it spread like wildfire, we all picked a movie night together when we had all finished reading. It was alot of fun.

I read all four of them over Christmas break from school because all the girls at work were raving about how great they were and I wanted an easy/quick read. I must say that I enjoyed them a lot more than I thought I would. Unfortunately, I went to see the Twilight movie after I read the books and was thoroughly disappointed. If I were you, I would stick with the picture your imagination creates The Edward in my brain is a lot hotter than the one on the screen

Mmmmm, James . . . I think all the eye candy in the movie was worth the price of admission (twice ). But over all, I didn't really like the movie. Rob Patterson is cute, but he's just not Edward. Of course, I read the books first. They were awesome. I also really like Stephenie Meyer's other book, The Host.

OK so now I am hooked on the first one. I can not put it down. Today a co-worker asked my if I was ok cause I looked so tired the last few day I am staying up half the night reading. I will finish it tonight and start the second one immediatly.

I read all of them last year, and they were my favorite books. However, I was hugely dissapointed with the movie, it didnt seem to have a plot, really. The books are soo much better, they dont even compare.

And Bella was definetly monotone and kept the same face the whole movie. I was so dissapointed.

I am now finishing the 3rd book Eclipse and I will start the 4th tonight. I am totaly addicted to these books. They are by far my favorites! I cant do anything but read! I saw the movie and thought it was OK and agree with most that the book was 10 times better. Now I cant wait for New Moon to come out in the movies, I have heard that this movie has a new producer and that it will be much better and follow along with the book nore then the twighlight did!

My DD (10) is on the 2nd one, she couldn't put the 1st one down. I think I will have to borrow the 1st one from her and see if they are as good as everyone is saying.

I loved Twilight, liked Eclipse and New Moon pretty well, but I could not STAND the way Breaking Dawn was written! I don't want to give anything away for those who haven't read them so I won't say any more than I did not appreciate the perspective I am a huge vampire/sci fi/fantasy book fan, and I really to like Stephanie Meyers' take... its original. I just wish the last book...which had so much build up... would have been different. I like the story and all, it went where I wanted it to, but not the WAY I wanted it to. Anyone else agree?

I have read all 4 and went to see the movie with my 19 year old son. He has also read all the books. We are all crazy vampire fans. I liked the movie ok but they are never as good as the book. I will say that they did a better job with it than they did with the "Eragon" book. They whacked it until it was nothing like the book. For those of you who like Stepanie Meyer sha has written a book for her adult readers "The Host". Not bad, but to me not as good as "Twlight". It was good for me to find this post. I thought I was the only one who enjoyed kiddie novels.

I read Twilight whenever it first came out, then New Moon and Eclipse as well.. when I went to go buy Breaking Dawn at the midnight release I was shocked at the amount of people there! I thought I was the only one that read them. I love them all, love Edward AND Jacob ( I am Switzerland ) Liked the movie ok, but it wasn't nearly as good as the book and they messed up the meadow scene SOO bad!
