I was just wondering if anyone else had gotten into the Twilight series? Several people I work with have really gotten into them so it made me want to. I love to read but have never read any books like these yet so I thought I would give it a try! If you are or have what do you think about them?

If you are talking about the Dean Koontz series, then any of his books are well worth the read. I only read Twilight Eyes, but that one kept me reading well past my wake up call. I'm going to reread that one and move on to the rest.

Yup I am on book 3...all I have to say is remember they are a teen novel so think more along the lines of Harry Potter :) They are really fun fluff books though! The movie I didn't like though that much....

I haven't. But a friend of mine did, and she loved them. She's a high school teacher and would borrow them from her students.
She stayed up all night finishing one of them....so they must be pretty good.

I read all four of them over Christmas break from school because all the girls at work were raving about how great they were and I wanted an easy/quick read. I must say that I enjoyed them a lot more than I thought I would. Unfortunately, I went to see the Twilight movie after I read the books and was thoroughly disappointed. If I were you, I would stick with the picture your imagination creates :) The Edward in my brain is a lot hotter than the one on the screen

I hear ya! All my friends are nutso over the movie (I am talking women in 20's and 30's here) and I just thought it made it seem lame...and the girl who plays Bella is soooo annoyingly monotone!

I have heard alot of people say that about the movie and I really like to read any book before seeing the movie so this will owrk out good! I am really ready to read these books now! A girl I work with has her book open every break she gets and stays up too late every night reading - she is on the 3rd.

I read the first one for a book club. As soon as I finished it, I had to read the next three right away. It was much better than I was expecting. Definitely a teen book, but better written and much more engaging than I was expecting.

I refuse to watch the movie. Nothing can match the meadow scene in my head, and anything else would just ruin it. Plus, that girl does NOT look like Bella.
