A foot of snow is on the way

I live just out side of the Detroit area, but we have a cottage in northern Michigan. Were in what they call a snow belt. Take a look at my picture gallery and you will see how much snow we get. Casey has so much fun playing in it. The average snow fall is 125 in. but 2 years ago we got 185 in.
We have to shovel our roof.

No snow forcasted here for the weekend just cold, cold, cold! It hurts to even go outside right now. Coco doesn't seem to mind too much, she loves the cold & snow when it comes. Casey's mom mentioned shoveling your roof, oh my..that must be interesting!

I'm so glad we FINALLY got some snow! Quinsi didn't quite know what to make of that white stuff at first. He went out there and proceeded to walk around making a trail with his nose

Quinsi and Gunner ran around for a few minutes, which is unusual for Gunner. He usually goes out there, does his business and within a couple of minutes is banging on the door to come back in. He ran around with Quinsi for a couple of minutes and probably would've stayed out there longer had he not seen me standing at the door taking pictures . (Gunner always thinks my standing at the door means it's time to come in regardless of weather)

The kids are getting bundled up to go out and play in the snow.. the boys probably want to go too. I'm the only smart one.. stay inside where it's WARM! (They're all out there now and Gunner and Quinsi seem to be having the time of their lives, running around dodging snowballs and each other )

(Update: I took those pics an hour ago and there's already been an extra 1/2" of snowfall since then.. wow we're in for it now . Just as long as this stuff doesn't keep me from going to work. 1-I need the money and 2-our work holiday dinner is tonight, I've been looking forward to that for weeks! LOL)

I can't really relate because we've been in the upper 70's and low 80's lately. Bugzy will probably never see snow but I have a feeling he won't miss it. He doesn't really seem to like cold and especially hates rain. Have fun though and post lots of pictures everyone. I love seeing them all!

its kiki's first winter here, and so far she doesn't like the snow at all!! a is a seasoned veteran though, she's learned how to conserve her warmth (yeah right, she just sits inside all day!!). its been about -16 (celsius, i don't know about farenheit [sp?]) here in toronto, and about -26 at nighttime. it warmed up a little bit today, though, so today we're supposed to get lotsa snow!! can't wait to go tobagganing!!

We've got plenty to play in here- bring your pups over for a boxer snow party!! We have 4- 6" on the ground now, with another 6-8" on the way this afternoon/evening--a guaranteed white x-mas with snow stil present--can't beat it!!

Let it snow!!

we only have about 2" here so far, but it's just staring to pick up some. Forecast is supposed to be for heavy accumulations this afternoon. Glad I'm home but dh works up north close to the lake-I've been watching the local updates and some of the schools that are still in are sending kids home an hour early. Rte 480 looks like that could be some hairy going-lots of wrecks so far and on the turnpike as well. The kids are loving the snow-well,except for Pooh, out and right back in -that's her motto I did whatever running around I had to do this morning-I love to look at it-hate driving in it!!!

We've gotten about

10" so far here in Southeast MO with another 2-8" coming later this evening. This is Nate's first snow and he is loving it. I keep making him come back in and warm up. Silly boy just wants to stay out and play.

I think we have about 5" here. The dogs are burning it up in the back yard as I write. And it's still snowing!
