A foot of snow is on the way

Just measured our snowfall since 7:30am when it started this morning. It's now 4-ish pm and we have nearly 6 inches, in Westerville. I shoveled the back patio, the driveway and the sidewalk as well as a pretty big area in the grass for Cami to do her business. She was quite interested in attacking and barking at the shovel.

I put her new coat on her and she was just doing burns all around the yard.....having such a great time. She makes me really happy. It is just beautiful outside. Now that Cami is back inside she is all curled up in a ball on her bed next to me. What a great sight!

Keep the snow coming!!!!!!

This snow is horrible!!!!!!! I just moved from cleveland to dayton and am appalled at the lack of snow plows. None of the roads have been plowed!! In cleveland they get the snow off of the road as soon as it falls, even of the side roads. Coming home from work tonight I spun down a hill into a lawn. Luckily I was able to back out and continue on my way. I just can't believe they don't plow!!

Well,so far we have about 6" so far here in Akron. Took dh about 1 1/2 hrs. to get home from Willoughby and he managed to get out a bit early to try and beat the 4 pm dash. Our house sits on a main rd. and I've only seen 1 plow in the last 3 hours. This street hasn't been plowed at all-just some salt which is doing no good at all. It's STILL coming down. Dh is trying to clear some of it out of the driveway as we are up on a hill and our d-way is a real
^&^% -if you aren't up far enough, the car has actually slid down and out into the road--
We're supposed to get another 4-6 overnight. Yikes--winter in Ohio

Abby and Baxter are in boxer heaven!!! They love the snow and it is still falling. Abby got a clean bill of health from the orthopedic doctors at OSU today and just in time for all of the fun that the snow brings.

Finally we're getting some snow! It's been falling for about an hour...Keno & Daisy just keep running in & out...they stay in long enough to get warm and then right back out they go!
I've been watching the weather channel tonight and I can't believe how much snow all of you in OH are getting ! Looks like it's going to be coming down until tomorrow afternoon for you guys...luckily we dodged the bullet this time and only are getting the second part of the two part storm that you all are getting (and also southern IN)....I'll be happy with 5 inches of snow--I still have some last minute Xmas shopping to do tomorrow so I don't want it to get too bad

Well atleast a lot of us are going to have a white Christmas

Oh my-what a mess !!!

Well,we woke to rain and freezing rain. Some of the ice has snapped a few dead branches off the trees. 13" here in the back yard, more to come later in the day- guess the grocery shopping will have to wait another day !
The snow plows have closed up my driveway and now I have about a foot of solid ice at the end. Hubby just called from work-took him almost 2 hrs to get there. He said if I see anyone with a plow to flag em' down Doesn't want me to try and shovel it out.
The boys loved the snow but I was really concerned about the ice -I can't get any of them to wear boots- Pooh was NOT impressed with the scenery and smarty pants Cissy decided she'd get even with me for letting her out in this mess by doing her business right at the edge of the porch step
Oh well, guess I'll finish my marathon decorating and staying warm inside.

This is going to be one LONG day for Chloe and I.

We have a big wooden front porch. The porch has 5 big steps to get down to the sidewalk, which is concrete. It's really icy. No salt around here to be found.

To take her outside, I had to wear my hubby's coveralls, rolled up. LOL! I had to crawl across the porch on my knees. Chloe is all over the place. She can hardly walk on the porch at all. She's all legs.

Once she's outside to potty, she tries to walk on her front paws. It's just too cold for her! And me too!

I'm sure my neighbors will get a kick out of us today! We look quite the pair, with me crawling on the porch and Chloe slipping and sliding! LOL!

It just keeps getting worse !!

Just went down to the basement to do some wash-what a surprise-I have 4" of water in my basement !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess the sewer drains must all be plugged, so now I can't take the chance and do anything that needs water.Guess the housecleaning will have to wait Then I called to check on my mom who lives about 15 min. south of me and she's had no power since about 4 am, my sister has no phone, we're hoping the power stays on there as she has 2 little ones. And now it's snowing again-huge,heavy flakes.
And now the fun begins !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No more snow PLEASE

We are getting alot of snow and I wish it would finally stop.
I live outside of the city and have to drive quite a way and it is not that good out there. I like having snow for Christmas but I no sure Molly does. It is her first winter and this morning she jumped off the deck and landed in a snow drift and all I could see what this nose sticking out of the drift. I had to chuckle a little at her then I quickly got her out. But she didn't learn she feel in another one while doing her boxer burns around the backyard. When she runs the snow flies up almost as though she is running so fast you can see smoke.
