My heart is in my throat reading your post. I want you to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and I hope that you are feeling better soon.
I can understand completely how the love of your dogs makes your heart smile. There are days that I look at mine and think that I am not worthy of all that unconditional love.

Dan, I don't believe for 1 second you have ever neglected your babies, you may have felt bad & thought you didn't give them what they needed at the time, but I bet they never felt that way. Dan, you were born with a gift from God, being able to understand dogs the way you do,what you have doesn't come from books & not all people have your ability,Im sure your dogs understand that more than anyone & they love you unconditionly & that is the best love you can recieve. We all take things for granted , but shouldn't because nobody is ever promised another tomorrow. I'm sending you my prayers, that you will get well soon. I too was crying by the time I finished reading this post. I will remember these sentiments every time I look at my little girl. Remember that our pups have the uncanny ability to read our moods, and they know when their mom or dad is "off" for some reason. I hope you find peace in your heart knowing that your babies love you unconditionally, and they will forgive a grumpy moment in order to make sure that you are well.
