Dan, so sorry to hear that your not feeling well and hope that you are on the road to recovery. Suzie, Maggie and Rider are lucky that you have such close and caring neighbours. Don't look back, look ahead now and be strong and carry on.

Comfy Jammies, cozy bed, three boxers laying by your head. worry not , the world can wait, take your time and recuperate.

Don't feel bad for loosing patience, they give unconditional love as you do for them. We all have our good times and bad times, we are not perfect. Just get well.

Hugs for you all angelicon

Tulsa-Dan,

My heart goes out to you. Your touching and beautiful post is very poignant, and surely brought tears to many of our eyes. It is sad to hear of your illness, and the difficult times you have been going through, yet so wonderful that you have shared with us what has been happening to you, and your deep love and feelings for your babies. You know surely that you have many friends and boxer lovers here at Boxerworld who care about you and deeply appreciate your knowledge, instincts and love for the breed. We wish you well and a speedy recovery. Your babies are there for you, just like you are there for them. And we are here for you.

Grunt sends you healing boxer vibes, a big hug and mooshy kiss, and Gruntsmom sends XXX and OOO to those beautiful babies, Maggie, Susie and Rider.

Great Tribute!

Dan you are so very blessed to have their love. We all are...and to think we are supposedly the "superior" species!
They give unconditional love even when we are short, tired, sick, depressed, frustrated, moody, just totally unlovable. And yet they stay right at our side never wavering in their loyalty. I know Dan that you rescued all three of your sweet babies...I think maybe they were and are simply trying to pay you back for all the comfort and love you have given them. Please now you are all in my prayers and thoughts and I truly hope you are feeling better now and on the road to recovery. Those babies are lucky to have you and you them.

Hang in there! Kisses to all three of you Rider, Susie & Maggie for helping your daddy through a rough time!

Somehow dogs seem to understand when we are not feeling well. Luckily, they don't take it personally if we are having a bad day. They just shake off that grumpy voice and wiggle, wiggle, wiggle. Hope you feel better soon. We all miss your thoughtful and knowledgable posts.

Dan, I agree whole heartedly with your assessment of our wonderful boxers - they truly are family members. Dogs, especially boxers, are very intuitive and know that you are not feeling well. Maggie, Susie, Rider, your exceptional neighbors, and the people here at BW are all pulling for you. Take care and I'll pray for your speedy recovery - Cathy

When I got my boxer... I never ever, for even one second, considered that I was getting a "pet" or a "dog".

My boxer is my family.

I treat him so, and he does the same in return (and then some).

Boxer are not pets. Period.

They are your family. And a great family you have. Never forget it.
