My boy is 11 and my girl is 8 1/2. The vet said that if it wasn't for the grey hair you wouldn 't know he is 11. He is still energetic loves to play and go for walks. He isn't as energetic as his puppy days but he is still pretty active.

I would take her to the vet. My boxer had his tail docked by whoever we bought him from. But he would never sit in obedience class. The bone was still exposed so we had to have it redone so it would be comfortable for him. Nothing ever oozed from it. I would take your dog in.,
