Most common object removed from stomache

It would have to be something that is not easily digested that would make the dog very ill in order for a vet to want to remove it. My answer would be pennies. I read somewhere that due to the copper it can actually cause a poison like reaction if left there over time!

He's still peeing in my house

Potty Training I read the advice about keeping the door open, so pup can help himself. I don't agree with that simply from experience. I too used to keep the back door open, thinking I was doing my dogs and myself a favor. They were pretty much house broken when I started to do this. The...

    Laying out in the sun

my sun catchers We live in PA, so no matter how cold or hot the weather is Oz and Roo love to catch up on their tans. We have a huge picture window in our living room which gets Southern Sun all day long. Oz and Roo enjoy the window seat as much as we humans do. They also like to keep an eye...

    With much Frustration!

Something Has Worked...so far!(long) Believe it or not the dogs have taught my husband to clean up after himself. Since most of the things they chewed belonged to him, he realized that if they weren't left out they don't have access. So far, no more chewed baseball caps nor magazines. We...

    With much Frustration!

Thanks So Much! Thank you so much, for all of your suggestions. I plan on trying them by trial and error. Unfortunately, like children my fur-babies play a lot on my emotions, but I think if they whine for a night or two from the crate I will survive. Thanks again, and I will let you know...

    A quick question about a sis's puppy

Vet's can be overwhelming Has your sister tried a second opinion? Some vet's unfortunately go right for the wallet and come up with worse case scenarios, not that the vet wasn't being prudent in this situation, but if an effective treatmet isn't being used then perhaps someone else would know...

    going to vegas

I've been there... As a B-day gift I turned 21 in Vegas. There is lots to do for everyone's interests. The Rainforest Cafe @ the MGM Grand is an interesting dining experience with indoor thunderstorm's and all. For a cheap breakfast, homestyle, I recommend Gold Coast. Entertainment in Vegas...

Pup chewed some peonies - please help!

Some Symptoms the Vet told me About My Roo is 1yr. old and likes to be nosey, its her nickname. She once ate one my household plants, which I'm sure was no good for her, and I mean all of it. I'm a nurse and got home late, my husband was asleep. Anyway, she was drooling quite a bit and...

    Bitting Heals

Me too, Me too! Ozzie, who is now 2yrs. old, "attacked" my husband and my feet. We finally got him out of "attacking" our feet. But he still continues to try this tactic on our house guests, especially those that don't frequent our home often. I'm beginning to think it may be a "testing"...

    With much Frustration!

Agreeing with Boxer Ozzie and Roo, unfortunately are crated from approx. 6:15 am to approx. 4 p.m.. during our human working hours. I do not feel comfortable crating them for approximately another 6-8 hours depending on bedtime. Plus, Oz and Roo know when we're home and will continuely whine...

    With much Frustration!

My boxers Ozzie and Roo, have been up to no good at night. My veternarian described this as the equivalent of a "teenage rebelious phase". A little history...Ozzie is a 2-year-old-male and Roo is a 1-year-old female. They are crate trained for when we are not at home. Anyway, during the...

    Need Help Naming Our Baby

Some name advice Just some food for thought when choosing any dog's name. It shouldn't be a name that one day you may want to name a skin-baby, nor should it be a "family name" (that in itself could become offensive--bothways)! Also, keep in mind that this will be a name that you may have to...

    Just a Friendly Hello!

Hi, my name is Kelly, I'm from Pennsylvania. I have been a dog owner since childhood & a boxer owner for 2-years. My husband and I have no human children, but our family includes 2 boxer babies (or so they think!). Ozzie Kamakazi is our energetic, 2-year old, brindle boy and Veruca (a.k.a...
