boxer vet Dr Gary Simpson in Casa de Oro at xxxxxxx I know breeders that come down from RPQ and North County just to use him. He's also very good at the spaying & neutering of the boxer. Great guy! ~Bev

In San Diego & had to put my girl down. . .

Happy ending to a long story Well, my breeder called me a couple weeks ago as someone had called her with a 2 year old female that they needed to place ASAP (were moving into military housing that Friday). Other than that breeder knows nothing about these people or the dog. So I go and check...

    Is $550.00 too much????

Here boxer pups go for $1,200 (pet quality) on up for show quality. The whites I've seen have been offered for $400 with a $100 refund upon proof of spay/neuter. Sounds fair. These parents have all been health tested.

    Hello from Australia

I love my docked tail. Just a preference on my part. And I dare say I've not heard of any deaths from tail docking. Our breeders do it as resposibly as possible. Why on earth would they risk the death of a pup? If nothing else, each pup means approx. $1,200 (for pet quality alone.) And...

    Hello from Australia

American vs. European Boxer I'm not a breeder so can't get all technical with you, but I can pass on a few things I've learned while I've been looking for my next (our third) boxer. One difference is the ears. Not just the fact that they are left natural, but in Europe they breed for a...

In San Diego & had to put my girl down. . .

We did go up there yesterday. We met her, but she just wouldn't work for our situation. 1) She didn't like men very much at all & I have a husband 2) She didn't seem keen on other dogs; not particularly mean, but not very warm & fuzzy either; and I don't want my current dog to get hurt as he...

2 is perfect I found her on the site. Thank you so much for that!! We only live about 1.25 hours from Irvine so we'll pop up this weekend if she's not taken. Need to meet her first, but I'll give them a call. Thanks again for the heads up! ~Bev

In San Diego & had to put my girl down. . .

Hi Cindy- I did try the shelters. We went to 7 in one day - public & private. But didn't find anything suitable (we need a young dog/puppy as we have an established male at home). I don't want to just bring home a dog from the pound, find out it has issues and that it's severly injured my...

    Hi from San Diego!

Thanks all! I already contacted my local Boxer rescue, but she said that she didn't have anything suitable. With Angus it would be easier to introduce a younger dog, but an adult female I think would be ok too. They are not all that common so the shelters don't seem to have any either...

    Hi from San Diego!

Just found this forum in search of a companion dog for my 10 year old. We just lost out 8 year old to cervical disk disease and I don't want Angus to get lonely & lethargic. I hope I will be able to find a friend for him as I didn't realize that the price of Boxers had gone up sooooooooo much...

In San Diego & had to put my girl down. . .

I am brand new to the forums so I hope I don't break any rules (I did read them thoroughly!!) I just had to put my 8 year old girl down due to cervical disk disease. It was a long illness, but she "requested" to go on Friday. So we have our 10 year old male left behind and lonely. We've...
