Just found this forum in search of a companion dog for my 10 year old. We just lost out 8 year old to cervical disk disease and I don't want Angus to get lonely & lethargic. I hope I will be able to find a friend for him as I didn't realize that the price of Boxers had gone up sooooooooo much in 8 years. Oh my!

I have plenty of experience with all sorts of Boxer issues/ailments. And am a professional when it comes to sorting out colitis!

But my main goal is to find a friend for Angus. He has so much life in him (still does doggie doughnuts when he sees me, still hunter-killers me in the yard, still runs huge laps around the whole yard like a lunatic, loves to go to the barn with me, not old in the least bit!)

Here's hoping for good luck!

Welcome to BW! Glad that you have joined us. Are you looking for a puppy or any age because there are alot of people here that could help you get in contact with a rescue in your area! You could find a great boxer from one of the rescues. :) Good luck with your search.

Hi and welcome to Boxerworld! I agree - search the rescue organizations and you could get a trained, instant - playmate, already the perfect size for your grown boxer. Good luck with your search :)

Thanks all!

I already contacted my local Boxer rescue, but she said that she didn't have anything suitable. With Angus it would be easier to introduce a younger dog, but an adult female I think would be ok too.

They are not all that common so the shelters don't seem to have any either. But I'll keep looking!!
