Vet said she was dog aggressive

Unless your Vet is also a certified Behaviorist I would not be concerned with their opinions. Mindy will be fine in class and if your trainer is also a certified Behaviorist that is fantastic. She will be qualified to help you and Mindy with any issues that may arise or need addressing.

    pulling!!!!!

If they fit it for you in the store then it was more than likely incorrectly fit. I use quite a few of these while teaching in classes, and I can guarantee you that they do fit on short nosed breeds. I use one with my own little smushed face baby and he pants just fine. He can eat, drink, and...

    pulling!!!!!

If your dog is the "Houdini type" the Easy Walk Harness can be slipped out of in an instant. If you use the Gentle Leader Head Harness every time you take your Baby out then he will adjust. I tell baby "nose in" and he holds his little nose up for his Halter. I say "nose out" he holds his...

    pulling!!!!!

I use the Gentle Leader and I also highly recommend them for training a dog not to pull. It does take time while working with your dog on the basics, and how not to pull. If used correctly it can be used as an excellent training tool to teach your dog walking manners. I started off using it and...

Silly Question-do girls sit different than boys?

No my little guy sits very proper at all times...Not! This is how baby tried to sit in Rally O class last week. Our Behaviorist did not find it nearly as amusing as everyone else did. They rolled laughing. Every now and again he gets bored and has to liven things up a bit.

    "Help" sweeping?

When Baby was younger he use to chase brooms and the vacuum. Now he only goes after the lawn mower.

    I have a question?

Oh yes Baby does this too. It is an on going battle as I try to rub it in before he licks it off.

    Bringing puppy home too early??

I went through the same issues and problems that you are going through now. Difference is my Baby was pulled at 3 weeks, and he was delivered to us 2 days short of being 1 month old. I tried all the "normal" things to teach him not to use us as chew toys and it did not work. Actually it...

My babies got attacked yesterday on our walk

Start carrying a can of Spray Shield animal deterrent spray. It is totally safe and an effective, humane animal deterrent. It is just as effective as 10 percent pepper spray, yet without harmful side effects. SprayShield does not cause pain, it will not increase aggression. It also has a 10...

Help with picking good puppy food

Canidae has a Lamb and Rice version that is very good. I hope you can locate some thing your little one will do well on.

    Maybe a dog walker

Do you have the space to kennel? Vacation time is here so people will be looking in to kennels for their pets, or some one to come to their home to feed and care for them.

    bad recall ? (long)

I never bribe Baby to come he has to do it because he knows it is expected of him. If I had him out some place and he got free chances are I would not have a treat on me. I rarely use treats unlesss I am working him off lead teaching him hand signals. Then I use them very sparingly.... Try...

    Ewww...Rabbit Poop

Rotfl sorry for laughing Baby does this too, and what is worse we live in an area of town called rabbit town. Yes it is heavily populated by rabbits. Now Baby would prefer the real rabbit, but so far he has only caught one of them. My trainer said he could gorge causing him to vomit, but all...

    Pee pee

That being the case he will more than likely out grow the bladder control issue. It sounds as if you have done an excellent job on every thing else. In the mean time I would try to have him outside when your company comes over, or in his crate. This will minimize the clean up for you. The...

    Pee pee

There are a couple of things you can work on to help alleviate this problem. You need to build some bladder muscle control in your puppy. Build up the bladder muscles by having puppy “hold it in” for as long as he can. If you have a doggy door, or walk him too often then he will not build up...
