Completely Boxer Crazy
... is Grumpy's new favorite snack  I thought she was just grazing on grass but she wouldn't come when I called her, when I went over she was eating a big pile of bunny poops!
Should I be worried? I mean aside from the ick factor, are there any health risks from this?

I wouldn't worry too much, Biff does this if he gets half a chance too (he would eat ANYTHING!)

Obviously, we try to discourage it, but sometimes he's gobbled it down by the time we even notice

I agree - YUCK!!!

Rolen does it too. We try to get him to leave it alone, but it seems to be his favorite snack along with Goose poop! Gross!

I don't think you have to worry. Bella did this for a while before the switch grass got too tall. Now it's harder to find so she seems to have forgotten all about it!

I would just keep an eye on Ms. Grumpy for any digestion problems. During certain times of the year rabbits can carry worms. Not trying to make you worry. I'm sure she will be just fine, especially if you give her products like Heartgaurd which also takes care of intestinal worms.

Rotfl sorry for laughing Baby does this too, and what is worse we live in an area of town called rabbit town. Yes it is heavily populated by rabbits. Now Baby would prefer the real rabbit, but so far he has only caught one of them.

My trainer said he could gorge causing him to vomit, but all in all it will not harm him. Her Akitas love rabbit poop too. One of them made a pig of their selves, and vomitted so she monitors them now.

Haha! Mine eat the cats poop, right out of the litter box, and its sooo gross! But I can't keep them from it, and if I can't find them, that's usually where I can find them! I haven't noticed them sick or anything, so I guess it doesn't hurt.

Rabbit poop is like crack cocaine to Dieter, and he's got a serious addiction. He whines and whines and whines to go outside, and then we find out it was just so he can eat rabbit poop! Of course, we try to keep him from doing it, but, he occasionally gets some. I asked our vet about it, and she said not to worry. There might be some concern about worms, but, rabbits get worms far less than most of the other furry creatures who might leave droppings in our yard. There's not a heckuva lot we can do about it, except shoo him from the little piles if we can!

Tyler did this like crazy last summer when he was a puppy. He still does it but not as much. It never seems to hurt him. I try to use the "leave it" command to get him to not eat it - but that only works if i see it before he does.
