can benedryl make dogs hyper instead of sleepy? I think this happened to Blue.

Wait...I think I might know what it was. We gave him benedryl that night also. I wonder if it had a reverse reaction. Usually it makes dogs sleepy, but I heard that in some it will make them hyper!

After getting his 1st rabies shot, Blue refused to sleep last night! He has never had problem sleeping through the night, but last night he didnt fall asleep until almost 3 am!! Any thoughts? Could this be because of the shot or just a coincidence?

Blue was just diagnosed with toxcicia (sp?). THe vet says it is common in puppies. Anyone know anything about this? He was put on medicine.

I am not a show person, but I remember watching a dog show on animal planet a year or so ago and the best in show dog was a boxer with natural ears! I love that look so much and I am glad it is no longer looked down upon in show rings. There is no need for it anymore

Blue does the same. Once he puts on those breaks, there is no luring him to walk. What do you do if the dog wont move? Even if they do not come to treats??? I hate to go over and pick him up. It sends the wrong message I think!smashicon
