I'm so sorry to hear about Zeus! You must be devasted, but know that you did the right thing for him - he will love you forever and be in your heart always. Gone, but never forgotten - godspeed Zeus.

I am so sorry to hear about Zeus. It is so hard when they leave us so young. The guilt and second guessing will pass, it takes time, we all feel it when our babies get terminally sick. In time you will realize you gave Zeus the greatest gift of all..your love, and he knew it believe me. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in this tremendously difficult time. Godspeed courageous Zeus.

Sorry about Zeus
Just know that Zeus knew he was loved in his short little lifetime!! Feel privilaged that you got to be his family, and that he is now free from all the illness. Send Stormy our sympathies and lots of hugs. I know that it is hard my first Boxer I got before I even had kids, he was my first born!! We lost him suddenly to cardio-miopathy, a sudden heart attack in the middle of the night. Rob (my husband) gave him CPR and brought him back twice, then he wouldn't give up, but Brahma was gone, and it was devestating! My little boy who was 3 at the time vomited for 3 days after Bram-Bram died, we were all crushed. But just know it's not how you grieve for them when they are gone, it's how you loved them when they were here that counts. I'm sure my Bram met him at the bridge, and can teach him lots of tricks and to run reallllllly fast!!! Go Brahma Go!!

I am so sorry for your loss of Zeus. I lost one 4 years ago to bloat. So I do know how you are feeling. I know Duchess greeted him at the bridge. Give Stormy a hug and a kiss.

So young.. My heart goes out to you and your boy Zeus.. and reading your post made me cry..right now I know its so hard to find comfort in loosing Our pets who are more then what that word pet can ever say.. its so hard to see them go through any of the many health problems that are out there.. and we try our best to do all with in our means and powers to help them. and its hard when you've given your all and it still isn't good enough to cure or fix their problems..I've cried over and over about the what ifs or should we have done this or that. Like you did with Zeus
Riley made it through two lump removal surgeries and a biopsy with No cancers found I was so relieved ...but then 6 months later who knew I'd be dealing with the awful ITP disease that ended his life.. at 3 years old which seemed too short of time.
but knowing how short of time you got to love your little Zeus

Oh Dana I am so sorry for your loss. I am in tears reading about what happened to Zeus. I wish there were words I could express to ease your pain. Please accept my deepest condolences and sypmathies during this difficult time. I will be keeping you & your family in my thoughts. Give Stormy a hug and a kiss from Mason & me. Godspeed Zeus.

What a heartwrenching story. I'm so terribly sorry for your loss. Zeus knows you were doing everything you could to keep him healthy. Dogs are very wise in that way. (((((HUGS))))) to you and Stormy.
