Zeus has left us.....

So very sorry to hear about Zeus. I am in tears doing this post as my own baby Ruby 13 months is really poorly. She had similar symtoms to Zeus (moderate heart murmur, coughing, swollen belly, very lethargic) took her to our cardiologist and he diagnosed cardiomyopathy with signs of stage 3 congestive heart failure she is on all new meds and has picked up a bit over the last day or two but her prognosis is poor and I know we won't have her with us much longer.

Our priority now is to make sure her quality of life is good for as long as possible and give her as much of love as she's shown us in the past year. We also have an older boxer Maisie 6 years and she doesn't understand whats going on at all and I feel like I'm grieving my baby before she's gone so I can understand how you must be feeling.

I know you should be proud that you did everything you could for Zeus.

We're so sorry for your loss! May God hold you all close and comfort you. As I read the recent posts of so many that have lost their babies, I cry. We know how it felt when it came time to say goodbye to each of our babies. Believe me, it never gets any easier. Each one held a special piece of our hearts. Each one was put in our lives for a reason, to be loved and cared for. Even years afterwards, when we reminisce, I shed tears and wish they were still with us. You've given Zeus the love and care he needed. His gift to you are the wonderful memories. Stormy knew it was his time. She comforted him and gave her love also. Your hearts are big and hold so much love. In time the pain will ease.
