Our first boxer was bought for are little girl and she named her
Angel= f/fawn 1yr
I wanted a second boxer so bad. I finally talked my husband into getting one but he said it had to be f/brindle male. We finally found the one he wanted and he named him
Muhammad Ali= f/brindle male 1yr
We just recently got a third boxer and I finally got to name one so I guess she is oficially mine. I decided to stay with the boxer thyme in a way. I named her
Roxy Balboa= fawn female 7ks after Rocky Balboa from Rocky movies.

We got Cajun's name because my boyfriend is from New Orleans...as soon as I heard it I knew it sounded like a boxer name...then when we met him, I knew for sure because of his color..and let me tell you, he sure is a fiesty little thing, living up to his name!

We picked Frau up from the breeders, and all the way home debated names (which I don't remember now), but we basically couldn't find one that fit her. But when I walked into my house and showed my now deceased grandmother our new puppy, she took one look at her and said 'she looks like frau' (her first boxer). So it fit, and strangely enough I found a picture of my grandmother's frau and they are almost identical.

 

[BooBoo & Riley]

BooBoo was named after Yogi's sidekick bear... I always thought that he was the wiser friend of Yogi...

Courage is named after Courage the Cowardly Dog... She is not a coward at all, totally courageous...

Riley our cat is named after a real boy's name because we name our cats after humans and our dogs after cartoons.

Oscar's( 3yr old flashy fawn boy). his full name is Oscar de la Hoya, self explanatory. Diego 9week old brindle boy, We drove from phx to San Diego to get him. Also San Diego is one my favorite places.

Aragon: I wanted a really originale name, so I looked to my favorite movies "Lord of the rings" and feel in love with the name Aragorn. My boyfriend wasn`t that convinced, but when we found out that the province our little boy was born in was called Aragon, there was no doubt! It was faith:D

 

[TONY & GEMMA]

Before we got Brando we decided it would be either: Brando, after Marlon Brando (we're both big Godfather fans) or Bobby after Newcastle United manager Bobby Robson (Newcastle United is our local football team).

When we went to see him - we decided he definitely looked like a Brando with those droopy jowls!

I had heard Tia somewhere and liked it, it was also the only name on my "list" that my hubby liked so Tia it is.. Tornado Tia-- fits her well, let me tell ya!
Sonny is short for Sundance. My hubby named him. He just really liked the name.
Harley, my Dal, was named because I love Harley Davidson motorcycles and it seemed to fit her.
Haylee Ho Ho was named by the original owners, the guy I got her from kept calling her Candy, she didnt like it, she didnt like him either so I went with her original name and called her Halo, she was my angel! (Bless her soul)

Peanut - She was the runt of my x-MIL's litter, so I got to bottle feed her when she was a newbornand was so exciteed when the MIL told me i could have her. My grandpa was my hero and he loved Peanut Brittle so I named her Peanut Brittle Brindle Baby and called her Peanut. Nicknames include: Peanut Eater, Peanut Head, The Nut, Nutter Butter

Popcorn - My X-MIL lost two of her boxers within a couple weeks of each other. So she went on the hunt for another puppy. When she found the one she wanted she called and told me they had a female that looked like Peanut and asked if I wanted her. I had always wanted another Boxer so when my x-Husb was willing to let me get a puppy (since we knew our time with Peanut was limited due to her cancer) I said sure. We had a hard time naming her. Other names considered: Cashew, Pickles, or Butter. After about a week and half debate we named her Carmel Swirled Popcorn Pup. Nicnames: Poppers, Corn, Stinky, Sweetness

Chewy - Before I even got him I knew I would name him Chewy and as soon as I saw him it just seemed right. After my divorce it was just Popcorn and I so I decided that she needed a friend, or in this case a "chew toy". I named him Popcorn's Chewy Boy Toy. Nicknames: Chewers, Junk Yard Dog, Chunk or Chunker, Chunk'O Junk, Snorker, Piglet (he has the cutest littel pink pig butt) & when he is in trouble - Charles (and he knows when i call him this he is in trouble, just like a kid knows when you use thier full name they are in trouble, it is hilarious)

Jackson-We need a good strong name because he was the largest in the litter and we expected him to be big and tough. Well, the name name does fit him now, although his nickname Puppy will always stay with him, as well as Naughty unless he can stay out of trouble.

Autumn-She came to us already named and she responded well to Autumn so we didn't see a need to change it. We thought maybe she was born in the fall hence the name Autumn but found out later she was born just a couple of weeks before Jackson. She has only been with us a couple of months so we haven't come up with many nicknames for her, but sometimes we call her Naughty Girl. She's not as bad as Jackson, but sometimes she can be a little naughty.
