Why'd you name your boxer that?

i have bubba and dolce. bubba got his name randomly because i couldnt think of anything when i was 18 when i got him, and my mom was like name him or we will, and bubba just came to mind and it stuck for him. and then dolce means sweet in italian, and im italian so that was easy. my girlfriend and i named her before i got her and it couldnt fit better, shes the sweetest dog ever.

 

[Chuvalo]

We named our guy Chuvalo after the famous Canadian boxer George Chuvalo. When Ali fought George Chuvalo, he had to go to the hospital afterwards, due to injuries to his hands. Ali has been quoted saying that "Chuvalo's head was the hardest thing he'd ever hit." While Ali was being treated in hospital, George was out dancing with his wife. Our Chuvalo is a little toughie, too!

We picked Daisy Duke because a boxer puts up their "dukes" to fight and she just looked like a Daisy...rhymes with lazy and crazy, two things she is also....haha we mostly just call her Daisy though.....

I named my dog Dixie because she is the first resident of our house that was born south of the Mason-Dixon line. She really tries to be a true southern belle (LOL)

We adopted Snoopy when he was 9 months old. Being that he is deaf we thought that we could change his name but he is always snooping around and getting into new things so his name stuck.

well i wasnted a sassy name and nothing that sounded like any of the other dogs on our road i also love the song Roxy Roller so Roxy it is !!

our girl came with a mouth full of name; Dame Brittny's Lady. (akc) which is way too much name, so for some time when she first came home with us we talked about what to call her. I called her pup during that time and it kind of stuck. As she grew older Miss was added, thus: MISS PUP.

Jackson inherited his name from the boxer my BF grew up with. After we lost him, he wanted to name the new puppy Jackson also, and I could not. I wanted him to be his own doggy person. So I came up with Rudy - part for the movie, part because this exact spelling means redhead or fawn in Polish (my origin). His registered name is Rudolph Jackson, and - you guessed it, he has been called his full name already.

 

[Kitas Mommy]

Kitas came from La Femme Nikita, she was one tough chick, so it kinda worked for her. We call her Kita Gurl for short ( acutally longer ) but her name is Nikita

The reason we named our girl Berlin is rather obvious. It's the capital of Germany, her homeland!
