We went to hawaii the year before and when we got kona she looked like a little coffee bean with her brindled coat. And since they are so famous for their "kidney beaning" we just put a different spin on it!

BridgetD I have to share my Bella with you. Her AKC name is Belle of the Ball from Coe. When I used to babysit in high school the family that I watched had a doberman/shepherd mix named Bella who was just the nicest dog. So when we got our Bella, I searched and searched and didn't want a name that everyone else had. Now, everywhere I turn there are things called Bella! Even businesses!

My son, who was 4 at the time, picked Chief's name. He was obsessed with that movie Fox and the Hound at the time, and I think there was a dog in that movie named Chief.

My daugher, who was 3 at the time, named Sasha. My Uncle had a Weimeraner named Tasha and I think she ment to say Tasha, but it came out "Sasha", so we went with that. It fits her well.
Angel is our family Christmas/New Year present. My daughter and son wanted to pick something to do with Christmas, so they started to recite Santa's reindeer names and picked Vixen. My husband and I agreed that it sounded a little evil, so we passed on it. As we were finishing decorating the Christmas Tree, (the tree topper is our family favorite, given to me as a gift for daughters first Christmas) we all get to place "The Angel" on top of the tree. We all looked at each other and decided unanamously that "Angel" would be a great name for the new arrival.

My Labs name is Monroe. Its the name of my Fathers best friend, and my wife liked the name and chose it.

Our Boxer is named Patrick after the cartoon character on Spongebob (my 2 1/2 year old sons favorite show). I chose that name because I thought the character on the show had alot of the same characteristics of a boxer. Silly most of the time, and even when they try to act tough you cant help but laugh a little....LOL

On the way home we came up with Tanner. Some of the names we liked were already taken by friends pets. He did come with the nickname "Houdini" and now we should have kept it!

I just want to say that after reading some of the posts - alot of boxers on here have really neat names and quite a few are sentimental which is really cool.

I named my boy Boudreaux because I'm a Cajun, and it was my Momo's maiden name. Plus, I like watching my Georgia neighbors try to pronounce it. LOL. If they only knew how it was spelled. haha.

I thought about Boudin (pronounced <BOO-danh) a type of Cajun sausage, but I settled on Boudreaux.

While on vacation last week and out of our condo, the kids and I were talking about what to name our new puppy. We had 3 names we liked. We told DH the names and the only one he liked was ROXY. When we returned to the Condo I checked out email and the breeder sent pictures of his 3 pups (2males and 1 female, we had already agreed to the female and were first on the waiting list) that he named Rocky, Rosco, and ROXIE. So, her name will be Roxie, it was just meant to be. I have a feeling my Crystal (at the bridge) may have had a paw in this. We had a Mickey Mouse dog tag made at DisneyWorld with her name and address on it. Roxie is a brindle and almost 5 weeks old. We hope to visit with Roxie this week.
