I have to admit I'm a little partial to Texas! But I must say I would love to have a summer home in Oregon or Maine! I would never survive the winters though!

I would say that the Hill Country of Texas (Austin) is definately more scenic than the DFW area, and probably has better winter weather as well!

I'm not sure there is a perfect place, but if you find one let me know!

Hubby and I dream of moving anywhere but here. Lately it has been either Montana, or Wyoming. I would also love to live in Mexico in the Playa Del Carmen area. It is so layed back and what is better than drinking $1.50 Dos Equis all day!! Ya just cant beat it!!!

I was born and raised in Alaska and I absolutely love it here. I love to travel and have been all over the U.S. and to France and I can honestly say that I don't think I will ever leave Alaska. I love Hawaii, I love Minnesota and other states, but there is something about Alaska that is really special and unique. :)

I TOTALLY agree, I was stationed at Ft. Greeley for winter training, and I loved it so much I almost made it my permanent duty station! I have family in Fairbanks too.. I would love to see the Islands before I die!!! What a beautiful state Alaska is!! But alas, I have adapted WAY too well to desert living to ever consider making AK my home!

Okay - I live in Austin, TX -- but I would definitely move if the perfect opportunity came :)

I love New York
Hubby loves San Francisco (but he'd settle for anywhere in CA)
We both love being in Telluride, CO -- so perhaps we'd meet in the middle?

:D

Personally, the perfect place for me to live would be anywhere that my family lives. I have a very close family so I seriously think I'd get home sick if I moved to far away. Although, I would definitely have to be near one of the coastlines to go on whale watches. Whale watching is a recent hobby of mine and I hate to have to give it up!!

Denver, Colorado is the place for me. I've lived in Denver for most of my life, with time spent in Philadelphia, Baltimore and D.C. Now, we wouldn't live anywhere else! We get the four seasons, but winter isn't brutal. Summers are tolerable. THe mountains are nearby and the city has everything one could want from a big city. Plus, it's kind of in the middle of the country, so it's not too long of a plane ride to either coast. No worries about tornadoes or hurricanes or ice storms or earthquakes. Blizzards are rare (we're in the middle of a drought). Great professional sports teams, theatre shows, you name it!
