Oskar is in his crate. He really loves it. He'll go in there on his own and sleep. We tried to get him to sleep with us but he didn't get it! So I took him downstairs to his crate and he jumped right in! He's 6 months and 55lbs. so I was fine with that. Plus our Yorkie didn't really like it he likes to sleep with mom and dad himself!

Magnum sleeps in our room wrapped up in comforters on our floor. Omar either sleeps wrapped up with Magnum in our room or with our daughter Justice in her bed.

We use to keep our bedroom door shut until we knew we could trust the boys with it open.

Magnum is 5 1/2 years old and has slept in our room since he was almost a year. Omar is four and he's slept in our room since we adopted him at age two.

I was very strict when we got Cole that I did not want a dog in my bed. We kept Cole in his crate in our bedroom. I thought having a dog in your bed was dirty. Cole joined the ranks of the humans when he turned one and was sick. My husband needed to monitor him all night when he was sick and it was easier to have him in the bed with us. Well that was the end of it. he has stayed with us ever since. I still think I got the raw deal because Cole literally sleeps on top of me. I wake up in the middle of the night to numb legs and arms. My husband on the other hand, is sleeping soundly. I still think that having a dog in the bed is dirty so I make my husband wash the sheets every other day. It evens us out for my lack of sleep for the last nine months!!!

I must admit when he snuggles with JUST ME, I melt...I think he knows I am his ticket to a good night sleep in our bed...

Samson and Delilah frequently sleep with us, in our bed, or on a pallet of baby blankets next to our bed (whichever they prefer). Sometimes they sleep in their crates in our heated/cooled attached garage. They sleep in their crates when I am tired and don't want to get up at 6:00 AM to let them out. This gives me another hour sleep and they sleep later in their crates, magically, when they are not in bed with us. I enjoy having the "kids" sleep with us. They are warm, smooshy faced, and I love them so much.

Tyra (Zipporah), on the other hand, was a very mistreated pup. We brought her into our home several months ago. She was never house trained (at 8 months old) and we cannot seem to do the training either. Unfortunately, she must stay in her crate at night and is often in our fenced yard. I love the little girl. She is a doll, but she cannot sleep with us because she has been proven to jump off the bed and have an accident on the floor.

Samson and Delilah have slept with us since we brought them home from their breeders at 9 weeks old. They are now 13 and 10 months old. We have never had a mishap in the bedroom, well, other than Samson falling off of the bed several times when he was small. Delilah puts herself to bed each evening. She quietly exits to the bedroom and gets in "her spot" in the bed, which is between our pillows, about an hour before we retire. She weighs about 44 pounds now so she is taking up a lot of room. It fascinates me that she took the same position the night that we brought her home and continues to sleep in that same spot. It's cute.

Hope I didn't talk to much. Oh, one more thing (smiling here), our pups began to be house trained at around 6 months old. Prior to that they still had some accidents in the house here and there. Good luck, and if you want your fur-baby to sleep with you, go for it. I think they like to snuggle with us, be warm, and comfy, and I think, given the opportunity to sleep with mom, dad, or both, they won't leave your side at night!

Gnarly now sleeps in his own bed on the floor next to my side of the bed. He used to start off in his bed and then hop up once we were asleep since he was about 6 months old.

About a month ago (gnarlys three) we had to teach him to stay in his own bed all night because I had an itchy rash and I told myself for about a year that it wasn't from the dog. Everyone convinced me that it was and now that I finally decided to try him off the bed I don't have it at all.

He has never had fleas or anything but there is something that I react to if he sleeps with us. It never happened when he was a puppy so I figured it wasn't from him, but now I'm itch free from the boxer pox and Gnarly sleeps in his own bed and doesn't have to go outside fitty million times a night either, but thats a whole other story.

Our four sleep on their beds next to our bed, most of the time. Every Sunday around 6 am they get up for a snuggle and a romp on the bed. The only problem with ours sleeping in our room is that they demand to go to bed at 7.30pm every night.

Siris sleeps in the crate. Sadie sleeps under our bed until Daddy goes to work, then she hops up with me. I hope Siris becomes trustworthy soon so he can sleep in our room. He loves to be under the bed as well. It is a bit of a squeeze now, though.

Myles (95 lbs) sleeps right in between my hubbie and I. Has since he was 3 months. We've never had any accidents but he has always woken me up if he has to go out in the middle of the night. Thank goodness we have a king-sized bed, even then, some nights I wish I had never started letting Myles in our bed!

Haha

Sleep in a dog crate!!!!

Not a chance of tango sleeping outside in his crate.
We even bought him a dog basket to sleep on in our room, but Tango still sneaks up onto the bed, gets between my hubby and myself , pushes with his back against me and pushes his legs against my hubby at the same time to get plenty of room (bearing in mind that this is a kingsize bed). Once he is comfortable he rolls onto his back puts his four legs in the air and starts to snore. Now thats what he calls paradise!!! :D

Conrad slept in his kennel in our room, until he was about 6 or 7 months old. now we keep the kennel door open and he usually sleeps with us in the bed, sometimes he will lay on the floor beside the bed. He has never had an accident in the room at night or chewed anything in the room... at least not at night :D
